Israel is just a 69 years old baby country but Jerusalem which is the Capital is one of the oldest cities in the world. This city is divided in two parts; Palestine and Israel. There is one BIG wall that separates both sides and it felt a bit ambiguous. Tel Aviv on the other hand is more modern, less fanatic, less religious, more expensive and more hipsters. But we weren't there just to compare one an other or bring up the politics.. We went there to BRING some of the Middle Eastern flavours with us, so we did. To begging with, Fish quality is BIG. Wines are also rich. Spices, top of the shop as well as they would say in Morocco. Prices, not that great.. We felt disappointed when we found out that basic ingredients such as chickpeas, potatoes, pomegranates, eggs, coffee, etc, had such high value on the Market. Eating out ain't cheap in Israel, neither it is the drinking! However, some other things such as transport are cheaper than in London!
After all we still managed to enjoy a few local meals and some really nice sunshine in November.
