Note to audience: WAIT until the performers have finished performing, and then you may applaud. Silence does not indicate the end of the performance. When in doubt, rely on others who know.

i feel you, but if some part of the piece makes me applaus at the mid point? what can you do about it?
@stepaushi
@stepaushi 3 года назад
@@chilesuicmez Hmm I guess I feel you, too. Think of the whole time the instruments are in performance mode, including silence, as being part of the actual performance, part of the intended atmosphere.
@chilesuicmez
@chilesuicmez 3 года назад
@@stepaushi i REALLY know what you are talking about but as that piece called silence? that is like 10 minutos of silence, but they are actually counting bpm's, bars, and passing paper music sheets, and the whole piece is improv from the sound of people, coughs, etc, THATS the piece, if you want to experience as intended, you can digitally play it, in a live set, you have no control.

@@chilesuicmez Yeah, I know. I think that "music" is silly. But I guess it had its point. [Edit: it's --> its (typo)]

as silly as EDM, or recording digitally/electronically your music, music industry VS music as art, mixed with modern ideologies :S is scary.

Each time I listen to this quartet I am freshly impressed--amazed--by the composer's brilliance in extracting different moods from his monogram, the four notes that make up his Germanized initials (D/Eflat/C/B). He warns us of impending tragedy, he sings out, he waltzes, he flirts, then he lowers the boom. He does not neglect his responsibility to soothe. And these four musicians cannot be bettered. This is the height of musical art.

The Viola sounds like it's crying in the second movement solo moment. I wonder if that was intentional because my God that was beautiful.

I truly not was expecting you to be so right, but I am heartbroken by the beauty of the viola's cries

Wow, I've never noticed that. I hope it was written intencionally that way and it's not pure coincidence

The whole cycle is wonderful, and this is one of the high points. A fabulous performance, and excellent sound. Marvellous music making!

Maybe it's just the audio quality, but each part is very easy to differentiate in this performance. No one instrument seems to dominate, the violins have intensity without overpowering the others, which I appreciate. Especially in this dark piece where the lower registers have some of the best parts.

Wow.... love the way you all have captured the intensity and madness of this piece, especially in the 2nd movement. Totally underrated...

I love the 2nd movement interpretation. I personally am not a fan of making the 3rd movement to detached like that but overall it sounded great.
