macvatu, in response to your question. The singer is the nephew of the Jese you mention. Jese the singers father and Jese the rugby player were brothers. Jese the rugby player died about 5 or 6 years ago.
@udreudre2 . . . .my apologies for this late reply. Thanks very for straightening me there. So sorry to hear Jese the rugby player has passed away. I in fact served with him in the Fiji Territorial Army in 1961. He was our Physical Training Instructor (PTI) and regularly played for the Army Rugby team and even for FIJI as scrum-half. Congratulations too for this Jese the singer. What a lovely voice he's got . . !!!!
Tell me if I'm wrong, didn't this guy play Rugby Union for the Fijian Army as well as the Fiji National Team ?? The name and the face are familiar. Jese was definitely some player in the early 60s representing both the army and his country. At scrum-half he was awesome and superfit being a Physical Training Officer. He spent part of his army-service in New Zealand and played rugby there too.
Lockie641 - I got a copy of the CD from the man himself - Jese cos he's a friend of mine. I don'd know where exactly the CD's are being sold. Sorry mate...cannot help you there...
