First of all, she did a very good job and an animal and it wasn’t flat. Maybe you need to look in the mirror and check yourself maybe you’re the one that’s flat don’t hate because she’s talented and you are not. You have nothing nice to say don’t say nothing at all.
I didn’t like it either. BUT it did grow on me especially the 2nd verse when more instruments gotten added. Nowhere near her best songs but it’s decent. This song did not use her voice correctly. Guess rocnation didn’t want her voice to outshine a particular queen of all bees cough cough.
Same. I'm a huge fan, but don't like the song. And she's always sounded flat compared to her track. She can sing, vibrato is unique, but she usually struggles hitting highnotes live.
Looks like she's just struggling to hear herself properly, I'm a Cellist and from experience of playing on stage in loud performance conditions, struggling to be able to hear one's self is a problem!
Wow I thought I was the only one who felt this way. This song (or at least the way she sings it) isn’t Jess. Even the video was basic. All her songs had soul in it and don’t get me on the videos. THEY WERE VIDEOS they tell stories, interesting dancing, and she actually went to places across the world. It was also colorful and not depressing. Roc nation is doing a meh job right now.
@@jrojo4834yes sometimes in her performance she skips the high notes parts like the last part of her intro song on her 2nd album and the last part of aint far to go. That’s just to name a few. BUT she mostly always kill I’ll be there during live performances
I love her and her voice is so authentic that you instantly know its he4 but this new song is not good also the trashy image that they put on her this new label is not good and not really the real herself. I hope she goes back her initially sound. Love her tho ❤ she is one if the few I follow on insta but bit disappointed with the new stuff.
I thought I was the only one who notice this. Rocnation so far disappointed me with the way they using Jess. This song is ok but it’s not using her vocals at all. And I do like the old outfits Jess use to wear they were colorfully crazy looking sometimes but she stood out. This all black and red stuff is meh. I hope this was a warmup single. And at 2:42 I feel like she was saying this to herself for signing to this new label 😂

@@Exclusive1011111111 this song is so mediocre. Jess is actually better than this! Also, the image used to promote the song is bizarre. It looks like Jess is having an identity crises both musically and visually. I hope she can pull it together, she is talented.
