Girl that’s how mine was. Different breed but I have an Australian shepherd-poodle mix and she was so wiggly! Everything was “play” and I mean EVERYTHING- I couldn’t even pet her without triggering play. She’d nap but any noise or touch that woke her up she’d immediately be in play mode. I was actually pretty miserable a lot of the time 😅 I was lucky that she was insanely food motivated so the only time she was manageable was during training sessions so I used food to desensitize her to grooming and that way I could just hang out on the floor with her, watch tv and go slow, let her figure out she had to be (relatively) still and tolerate the brush, scissors, paw handling, nail clippers, etc to get treats. And I could be way less frustrated and impatient because we were just sitting there watching a show, no specific trick or action I was trying trying to teach her, without a real time limit - she simply needed to be still while I was touching her with grooming tools. I don’t know what exactly happened but around 8 months she just snapped out of being so spazzy and would enjoy being pet without turning everything into play time and would even snuggle up with me for naps - it felt like a miracle 😂😂😂 hang in there! Oh and I also never sent her for grooming without a baggie of treats. The groomer never used much of them - it’s hard to groom and treat at the same time without a second pair of hands- but I always let them know if they were struggling that those treats were a cue that if she wanted to eat them she had to settle down and wait a bit so the groomer could get something done first!
