Paris-born guitarist and composer has earned legendary status as the foremost, and most gifted, proponent of the nouveau flamenco movement, blending flamenco with rumba and jazz to achieve a singularly dazzling sound. For his Luminato Festival debut, Cook will be joined on two songs by Toronto-based singer-songwriter Amanda Martinez, whose own flamenco fieriness draws on Mexican and South African influences.
Luminato Festival is Toronto’s international multi-arts festival for people open to having art change their outlook on the world. Join us June 19-28, 2015.

Wow! Jesse Cook really surprised me. He can do anything with that guitar--Mariachi and Bhangra. I am from Mexico and can see Amanda got her eyes from her Mexican father, a mix of Spanish and Aztec looking.

Jesse Arnaud Cook is a Canadian guitarist, composer, and producer. Widely considered one of the most influential figures in nuevo flamenco music, he incorporates elements of flamenco rumba, jazz and many forms of world music into his work. He is a Juno Award winner, Acoustic Guitar Player's Choice Award silver winner in the Flamenco Category, and a three-time winner of the Canadian Smooth Jazz award for Guitarist of the Year. He has recorded on the EMI, E1 Music and Narada labels and has sold over 1.5 million records worldwide.

Awe....... 5:40 19:10 Mario is-Walkin' 🕶 38:41 Drums and Jesse are BOSS The man should be the most famous on the planet - but the "Record Companies" are busy burning 1 hit wonders on Rap and Pop Charts - Thus - Jesse and his fans are truly Blessed- fame has that line and life can be miserable when one crosses it. ...so I wish him great success - this side of the line - Class and Extreme Fame just don't always jive.

Wish I had Jesse's job mine sucks. The only reason they don't have hits is because mainstream radio sucks beyond belief and doesn't play amazing music lie this but rather immoral Nikki minaj/ cardi B for the umpteenth time
