"But, don't you care about doing what you want to do?"

Jesse's overall journey was only seven episodes, and, it was more of a side focus to Lake's journey. Their adventure together makes for one of the most compelling stories, and chemistry, I have seen. They, ironically, reflected each other perfectly.
He always tried pleasing others above himself, and he never had anything he felt so strongly about that he fought for it. That all changed when he boarded the train. You can actively see Jesse slowly grow to care for Lake more and more throughout the book. You actively watch this friendship grow, so naturally and perfect. Jesse continues to cement his care every episode, until things are truly tested. When put in a situation he's all-so-familiar with, where his own values are tested against others, he doesn't make the same mistake he has in the past. This time, he cares about something strongly enough to fight for.
The scene in "The Mall Car" where he stands up for Lake, is my favorite of the show. I know there are more emotional scenes, and more impactful moments, but to see Jesse's journey come to an end is, personally, so... beautiful.
The video starts off with Jesse letting others dictate his choices. The video ends with Jesse, finally, without influence, let himself make a choice.
I don't really include much after episode 7 simply because that's when Jesse's journey ends. Despite showing up in the final episode, it was still clearly Lake's journey he was partaking in.
