What a fascinating film. Time does indeed stand still watching this. Why nine people have given the thumbs down to this puzzles me. Maybe its the Nazi component. The message of enduring humanity and friendship strikes a chord and hits an emotional nerve. These Olympic Games of 1936 represent all that is both good and bad with human nature.
I absolutely love this documentary. I'm a WWII junkie. But to see hitler's reaction and theories blown out of the water is priceless history and should never be forgotten by Black people or any form of naziism. Jesse Owens was the prelude to The Tuskeegee Airmen, Battle of the Bulge, and the U.S.S. Mason and countless others of African/Hebrew descent who have proven Caucasions wrong in their assumption of superiority for a thousand years. Salute!!!
What a great find! Thanks for posting this amazing sport and historical documentary. Do you have any idea when this was actually filmed? I wonder if they ever learned who gave him that incredible gift upon his return to the states.
