Jesse "The Body" Ventura returns to the Steve Austin Show, and this time he's telling stories about working with Vince McMahon Sr, vs Vince McMahon Jr; being in the ring with Chyna; his 2009 return to Monday Night RAW after the big WWE lawsuit; and what happened when he tried to unionize the pro-wrestling biz. He's also dropping some 411 on the legalization of marijuana, why he's such an advocate, and what it took to write his latest book, "The Marijuana Manifesto." - 8/6/20

Great interview. Very interesting to listen to the old stories most of us don't know. Jesse is the right guy to tell the stories.

Hogan confirmed the union story in 2018 at the nWo Reunion thing they did, I was there. He basically said he wanted the money for himself, so union wasn't in his interests. Effectively what Jesse was saying.

Think about it: the top guys would not want a union, the mid and low tier guys would.

@@opaque4742 that's not true. Only selfish guys like Hogan wouldn't. None of the top guys in other sports unions are complaining about their union.

Jesse The Brain. Bless you for the comments on sports "eras" and how it is foolish to compare. I guess ESPN, CBS Sports, FoxSports, etc. would all go out of business. Thanks again for posting these great episodes. Steve really had an amazing podcasting run......what? I said steve was pretty goldurn good at podcasting..... what? oh heck ya, swig of water.

My brother has seizures man. It's so scary and I want to help him so bad... That's what they're doing with him he hadn't had a seizure for like 10 years and then all the sudden he had the worst one he's ever had. He got to the hospital because my family rushed in there and they ran his blood and seeing that he had a painkiller in him and automatically thought he was overdosing and gave him narcon You know sometimes it's crazy how.lost they are when it comes to seizures. They switched his medicine. My brother worked for like over 10 years without any seizures and I think he still does hopefully he doesn't have to stop... It sucks man, I'm definitely listen to this whole podcast. 😢

I seen Jesse as a babyface one time on the MSG network when Barry O provoke him while Jesse was announcing. They had one match the next month.

I love Jesse, I really do but he honestly has the biggest ego I’ve ever seen and rightfully so. It gets bigger as the years go by and he has a character quality of a person who I try to steer clear of. That character quality is of a person who listens with his mouth and is the hero in every story he tells. We are all human, we all lose sometimes brother.......

I disagree, he’s out right blunt about what reality is, no sugar coating, no hiding his accomplishments.

Yes, he does have quite the ego. Listen to him on the Theo Von podcast. Jesse talks for 2 hours and 24 minutes of a 2.5 hour podcast. The host talked for 6 minutes, mainly trying to get a word in edgewise for 5 seconds here and there. It was gross. Jesse thinks he's the smartest guy in the room and is a conversational narcissist always trying to correct or one up the person he's talking to.

It's legal in some if not most states. It's legal in Massachusetts where I'm from. It holy hell better be legal in Minnesota after the former Governor fought his ass off for it.

Wonder how Jesse feels about his Russian TV affiliation now?
@Unrealenting
@Unrealenting 7 месяцев назад
The same way these other corporations left when the war occurred, they left and Russia tv canceled. That’s like saying “I wonder how the McDonald’s ceo feels now about having restaurants in Russia?” Like nothing, Sh!t happens and you bounce.
@lucianopavarotti2843
@lucianopavarotti2843 Год назад
Jesse was naive on RT and Russia. RT wanted him only because he is a conspiracy theorist. Its all part of Russia's attempts to spread doubt, chip away at US institutions. And for Jesse to compare RT to PBS is just nuts. PBS has proper regulation and proper journalistic standards.
@histochronos

RT actually has good news stories outside of internal Russian politics. It really isn't too different from the bias of BBC, Al-Jezeera, ect.

With how much he prospered with the paydays, the merchandise sales, the film/TV opportunities he was afforded...none of which wouldve happened with either WCW or ECW. Is it shilling or being thankful for an opportunity and made the most out of it?
