Humans share a common ancestor with these other great apes, which is why we are considered part of this group.
Every Organism is a transitional being. we are all links in many unbroken chains starting with the first living being leading to all living things of today - all life on earth is related to each other. Part of studying this "tree of life" is categorizing by similarity/closeness of relation to eachother. So we make up categories and subcategories and sub-sub categories. "Apes" is such a category with many sub-groups. Gorillas are apes and Chimpanzees and many more, Humans are a sub-category of Apes.

Wouldn't there be bones or skulls dug up showing the metamorphic transformation from ape to man over millions of years? Where are they? From left to right, show them lined up on a table. That would be something I'd like to see.
If evolution exist and transformations happen over millions of years, where are all the half transformations of apes to humans that are in process? And where are all the humans that are in transforming now into the next human evolutional transformation? Where are all the fish walking out of the water and climbing trees? Or did evolution just stop?
you are the evolutionary link between your parents and your children. Let that slight change from generation to generation play out over billions of generations and that's evolution. You want fish walking out of the water? Look up videos of mudskippers. They're hilarious. Evolution won't stop until the last living being procreates for the last time. Evolution won't stop until all life ceases to exist. Your childrens children a million generations into the future will be something very different from what you think of as human.
@@durstwurst Family DNA mixing from breading with other human DNA is not evolution like fish walking out of the water and climbing a tree. Now if highly-evolved entities came to Earth and took their DNA and mixed it with ape DNA to create a human, that would make more sense. Just sayin'.
