Unfortunately, nobody will ever be charged with this inhumane crime. This is a cautionary tale to stay away from drugs and bad people. Jessica was running with the wrong crowd and it cost her big time. I believe Quentin did this but there simply isn't enough evidence for a conviction. No matter how many times they try him the evidence is the evidence; the lack thereof
You've got to be kidding. You are kidding... right? Their ONLY defense was that she "supposedly" said "Eric"? That was their entire defense. Every other possibility and piece of evidence pits him AT THE SCENE of the crime AT THE TIME OF the murder. There's more than enough evidence: they're too worried about being called "racists" for convicting a thug. And BOTH were ruled as mistrials because of jury holdouts. Absolutely pathetic. Not to mention, the fact that they henpecked the jury members ahead of time as well.
@@tina8796 Sorry Tina. I think the way I worded my reply was misinterpreted. It was worded in a way that demonstrated my frustrations with the judicial system and the way this case was mishandled--not you. Sorry Tina.
I think there's more than enough to convict but I also think the. Obese gentleman working for the state was lazy, Ill-prepared, and ill-equipped to try this case. They were too matter of fact and diplomatic. They invoked no emotion in their jury. I can't understand why nobody ordered a r@p3 kit on her and DNA swabs- the ONE part of her body NOT burned- where evidence might have been preserved, and they didn't even try 🤦🏼♀️
why cant a diagram be drawn up of the placing of the trucks and everything? Or a staged set up photographed to view through out the case? Instead of repeatedly asking everyone where each truck is/ facing? I know the Jury is going out there. But for all of this part of a trial it seems it would have made things lot easier. Honest question. Courious
I agree...!! Also I wish the people that did talk to her would mimic exactly how she pronounced words . Bless her heart and her family too . That's so sad...!!
@@bostonmaacomaaco1271 , I know it . I didn't understand why that was so important to them either. What did it matter where the trucks were sitting ? Seemed like a waste of time to me too. Maybe they had a reason for asking, but I still never understood why . Is this a recording of the trial from last year or is this trial going on now ? I just started watch this a few days ago . I don't know how I came across it here on RU-vid. I just pray Jessica Chambers and her family get justice . I pray for comfort for this poor girls family. It's so sad...!!
I do not understand if she said “Eric did this”; why did someone not repeat back to her, “so Eric did this to you?” “Nod your head if ERIC did this, show me a sign if I’m repeating back to you correctly?” I guess they’ve erent detectives but dang!!!! This whole “Eric did this” is the big hang up on this case. It would be amazing if we could know for sure what she said or if that’s even what she meant!
its really hard for victims to move when they have been burned to the severity she had been burned at since their skin gets like a leather ish way .. but i agree doing it that way may have been easier or say "blink twice if his name is eric"
No one ever deserves the b set on fire as Jessica chamber was. I hope to god they solve this horrific crime so she can Rest In Peace. She was a beautiful person, I feel for her mom, how awe full it must be for her and her family. Praying Jessica gets the justice she deserves.
She was likely saying "a wreck". They think she was strangled and unconscious when she was initially set on fire so when she came to and realized she was on fire it was quite likely she thought she had been in a wreck. That's very close to saying "Eric".
@@kimberlyvinson8386 I think so too. Once I saw her pic and heard the description of her condition of her mouth and nostrils...I think she could have said anything. She was also in shock.
@@kimberlyvinson8386 yes! !!! Exactly what I have been saying. They were just listening for a name so they went with Eric but I believe after waking up unconsciously and getting out of her car she likely thought she was in a car accident and was saying a wreck
Maybe she was saying a wreck no one is speaking or asking about what the scene looked like like did it look like the car was damaged or was the area around the car damaged maybe she wrecked her car and it caught on fire.
So if JC was actually saying Eric, knowing what I know now, it is my belief that QT had identified himself to her as Eric and/or asked her to call him Eric....... his now wive's cousin that is all up in the middle of QT's torturing and murdering Meing Chen Hsaio for whom he is now awaiting trial.
omg as a parent and if that was my daugther i could not set there listening over and over and over about what she looked like. it like the whole fire department is on trail get on with it.
I was thinking that she may have been scared to tell who did it too. She may not have known how bad her condition was so snitching to her wasn't something she did. Coming for a background of dealing I don't think she would. Just. A thought
@@sandrasummers5686 exactly and MANY flight medics are not only RN but also they have special training in respiratory, IV therapy, trauma, pediatrics, and they are invaluable and the strongest people I've ever met. 💜
8 yrs of dispatch during any fire call its very dif to hear talking btwn radios , engines, sirens etc she talked sayin eric ir derek and then he described her nose and mouth as such .. wow he is great
“bright eyed and bushy tailed” Is this judge .. SERIOUS ??? AND how many witnesses from the fire dept. are needed … DO LET US KNOW eventually .. when ALL THESE MATTERS ARE FINALLY SORTED …THIS TRAGEDY IS HEART BREAKING
This is a horrific crime and I really want them to find the killer, but I don't think Quinton Tellis is that person. I wish they would stop wasting tax payers money like my own on trying to convict the wrong person. Several people have testified that she said Eric and she didn't know his last name, but they are soooo focused on closing this case that they would rather convict the wrong person. Just Sad!!!!
Who knows. Food for thought though; Quintons nicknames were Eric (according to his cousin and also a friend of Jess Chambers) and I think Bucky. It's all very sad. If He's not guilty, I hope he doesn't lose his life but if he or whoever is, I hope they get what's coming to them.
A wreck set me onfire is more likely what she said. Someone give that guy some hot wheels so he can park them the way he wantsandfivegima picture of jessica so he can see for himself what she looked like!!!!
@@karendodge4865 Have you ever been in a car crash ? I have, 3 times. Cars like that Civic don't just douse their occupant with fuel and burst into flames with zero structural damage. Plus as has been said the keys were a ways away. It wasn't a car crash.
@@realMaverickBuckley I wasn't insinuating that she was in a wreck. I was referring to what word she may have been trying to say. While I have not been in a car accident I do work in a major trauma hospital in the emergency room and the intensive care unit. I have seen more car accident victims, shootings, knife fights, drug over doses , burn patients and everything in between. No Jessica was NOT in a car accident. My point is that if ( and that is a big if) she were able to speak at all ( which I highly doubt) it may have been her thinking she was in a car wreck. I say big if for several reasons but for your sake I'll keep it simple. First of all when an individual suffers burns as severe and life threatening as Jessica did the airway and tongue begin to swell immediately as all the fluid that is inside of the cells of our body go through lysis ( they swell up and pop) second of all with all the noise from the rescue personnel hearing someone who IF they had the ability to speak would have been next to impossible as her voice would have been very low with words that could not have been understood. I NEVER SAID IT WAS A CAR WRECK. I THINK SHE WAS SET ON FIRE BY THAT MONSTER. please next time don't be so quick to assume you know what I was saying. And if you have been in 3 car accidents I suggest you start taking the bus.
It hasn't. The guy who asked her said it would be accurate to say woth her swollen tongue, burnt lips and face and damaged lungs, vocal courts and trachea that to say she couldnt speak remotely clearly was 'right' but he thought she was saying "collll colll" (cold) And "eehhiihh". He said she was getting frustrated as if they should be understanding her ... but weren't. I'd say that to state 'it's been made clear she said Eric' is pushing.
All that time wasted with so many different people trying to make out what she was saying could have been spared by one of them saying the alphabet while she does anything she can to pick the letters of his name,
I want to know why is Quinton not crying for his life or for Jessica death, how do you have feelings for someone and no TEARS!!!! i know i would. Even if one of my kids died i would be crying my heart out and wanting Justice even if i give my own Justice!!!!!!!!!!! No one would live to tell that day that i promise....... My daughter is 17 now and there is no way that she would be in a car with a man that is 28 or any sort of men that for sure we need to protect our kids from any monster and harm that is out there. One thing i can say is that all men are the same and it all comes down to what they need and that is SEX!!!! and if you not willing to put it out for them and give it to them the way they want it, they will find it somewhere else that is willing to please them like that or they rape or have affair, married or not, son, uncle, father and even your grandpa all the same...... No one should take someone else's life unless you have murdered or rape thats it.
He just got out of jail..He barely knew her..Stop being dramatic ..Crying over someone you dont know and being accused of burning a white girl to death when you didnt do it..Id be pissed if I was him..Trying to pin a murder on any black man they can bc they cant find ERIC..She said " ERIC " did this to her....Been serving 4 years in prison as of now and never found guilty...You sound stupid
ItzDxddyChasity Your reply is nothing short of ignorant. Calling another person stupid because you don’t agree with the comment is unnecessary. Throwing out the because he is black is also ignorant. The facts are that he is the only known person to be with her during that time. Black has nothing to do with that. It’s been undeniably proven HE WAS with her at the time she was set on fire. If he were white it would be the same facts. He was at the scene. I’ll admit to my own ignorance responding to you.
I agree with Stephanie AA, is not about being black or white she was murdered and then instead of her being dead she wakes up to being burnt so that all evidence gets destroyed, and then to top it off she being painfully killed in her second death, like WTF!! Like i said why was she involved with a man that was far to old for her or even hanging out with a older man that has been release from prison like does that not give a parent alarm bells and if i was a cop, every friend my kids bring home i would be doing background check just to see what type of person they are.... And if you can't cry for someone death or even cry for your own, well then you not the type i want to sleep next to every night.
So true. And if her so called “best friend Keisha” was any kind of friend, she would have not introduced her to this hardened old convict. She would have instead told her to stay away from that career criminal. No kind of “friend” at all that person.
He was convicted of killing another woman a few years later. He got away with killing Jessica and figured he'd get away with it again but was wrong. Unfortunately for his second victim, they weren't able to put him away for life after brutally murdering Jessica.
IT IS FUNNY MS ROGERS REMEMBER EVERYTHING WITH THE PROSECUTION. BUT THEN SHE SEEM TO NOT REMEMBER ANYTHING WITH THE DEFENSE NOF THE TRAGIC SCENE OF MS JESSICA
