pinkpanda luv He lived in Canada for 6 years so he is fluent in English, but since he lived in Korea for so long, he doesn't use it as much a he used to. So I guess he has forgotten some. I forget my English to when I don't use it. (English is my second language). He also forgot some of his Mandarine since he didn't use it as much when he lived in Canada and Korea.
Jess was always my favorite (for me it was because she's an American and I can relate, obvs) of the Girls Generations and with her solo career coming up, I'm really excited.

I think if SM Entertainment wanted to start releasing English language songs in the English language market the Jung Sister would be a good place to start. TTS would also be a good choice and they could also make a Girls' Generation sub unit of Taeyeon, Tiffany, Jessica, Sunny and Seohyun (TTJSS) all great at sing in English (Check out Cheap Creeper also on my RU-vid channel).
kate summers It appears that Jessica is currently working on an English solo album. I'm not sure if Jessica is still under SM's management but If she is I think there is still a possibility that they could team up Jessica and Krystal. And I guess if Jessica has left SM and one day Krystal decided to leave, then the pairing could happen that way as well. Once Jessica releases a some music we will know better were things stand.
王女の平和 Yes we know... I believe Jessica herself has plans of releasing a single or album in English. She was filmed in the studio with Jermain Jackson (brother of Michael Jackson) earlier this year. I also heard a rumor that Jessica & Krystal had recorded a full Korean album and a music video which was never released and may never ever see the light of day now that Jessica has left SM... I think it is good for Jessica to sign to another record label to give her more control over her future, particularly if she want to release songs in the English language market. I also saw that at the K-con press conference, Girls' Generation were asked if they had any plans to release an English language album or song. Tiffany seemed hopeful about the prospect but there were no plans (yet) and that it seems like it will be SM choice to release a song in English if they ever do... So no real progress there, but hopefully with some new found momentum from Girls' Generation, SM might try out the English language market once again...
I think this should be an official song I mean not as ost but as a single in an album I'm sure Jung sis album will sell quite a bit and I'd love to see them promote together don't understand why they haven't done it till now I guess they're variety show is a start

It was because of scheduling issues between her & SM, and it became to constant. Jessica has been doing her own personal projects outside of SNSD for a while now, and it got in the way of her duties as a member of the group so they dismissed her, so she can continue to do her own solo projects. Perhaps in a couple of years time after Jessica has completed some of her projects, SM will allow her to return as a member of SNSD again.
+Njonga Kekoa (씨 젠) that's not fully true. but there are many different point of views on this issue. some say the band told her to choose to stay in the band or leave. some say she was going to leave but decided to stay, but got kicked out in the end since sm couldn't make any money from her fashion business
If Sm entertainment were smart, they would make learning English part of the training. Americans actually pay to see the girls sing and dance. There is no such as a free live promotions here. Not like the day after day promotional performances that groups like SNSD, Apink, f(x) and other groups do. The songs playing on the radio, and variety shows is the promotion. Americans then pay for the download, and CDs, and then pay big money to go see the live performances. So why would SM not want to bring their successful groups to the U.S. for tours? To do so, the songs must be in English to maximize the interest here. yes, SNSD did well with Korean language songs. But that was one venue, and the biggest group in the business. They would sell out a dozen or more venues like that with English songs.
I understand that a company has to be careful about not wasting money, but they did pull the plug too early on trying to break into the American market. It is not unusual for groups to not do so well with their first song that is released. There was a group that was big in the 80s and 90s called Guns and Roses. Their first song that was released was Welcome to the Jungle, and it only did OK. Then the released Sweet Child of Mine, and it took off, and after that, Welcome to the Jungle did even better. It takes a little time for people to take notice. Rarely does a new group have an instant hit with their first song that is released. And, SNSD was a new group when it comes to the American market. Now, had they done a lot of hype and advertising before the song was released, they might have had more sales. But that brings up another point. Had they released a full album of their best songs converted to English, and did one or two more music videos, they would have gotten noticed. I personally think that the SM mangers were too sensitive. I think they are treated like royalty in Asia where they are known, and it "felt off" to them to be treated like unknowns, here. Given a little time, that would have changed. They are too talented to not have made it. Too many great voices in that group. Maybe they should try again with TTS. If they can, they could even make English versions of their best mature sounding songs and have TTS do them for an Englsih language album. Or, break it down to 4 to 6 girls for a new English language group. Maybe even take a few of the best singers that know English from another group and have them join with TTS to make a new English language group as a side project. The point here however is that English versions of songs is going to be the key to breaking into the market. And here's a thought, just make the songs, and do the videos, and put them on RU-vid. Those will get passed around, and after a while, they become known. One last piece of advice. Have a standard line-up. By that I mean, have a position for each girl to stand in for group pictures. Why? Because the girls change their look so often it is hard for somebody knew to know who is who, especially for us white people, because we are lazy when it comes to recognizing who is who. We have the benefit of people having such a diverse look, with things such as different hair colors, different skin colors, freckles or no freckles, etc.., So we use those things to quickly identify who is who, which makes the mind lazy to noticing smaller details about a person's face. It takes us longer to recognize subtle differences. This makes it a problem for us with the way Kpop groups change their look on a daily basis it seems. One day a girl has dark hair, the next day she has red hair, and the next she has red hair. Length will often vary also. Makes it hard to learn who is who. However, you will learn quicker if they have a standard line-up and you can quickly find the girl who is your favorite, even before you know her face so well that you spot her even when she changes her look. Apink does this with their standard line-up being from left to right, Hayoung, Eunji, Bomi, Naeun, Chorong, Namjoo. Occasionally they do something different, but the majority of the time, that is how they line up. I'm sure other groups do that also, but I don't know the members of other groups as well as I know SNSD and Apink.
+tusekki Yes, I knew that about them, as well as the fact that it was Krystal they wanted first, but her parents wouldn't let her go but allowed Jessica to go instead. Or so I have read. But that brings up an interesting point. One somebody else mentioned. Krystal and Jessica could be a start to SM Entertainment using these two to release English language songs. But that is small potatoes to what they could do. That is just the start. Here is what they should do. First, release some English songs using some of their more talented people who speak English. Krystal and Jessica could be two members in a larger group. They could add to their numbers using other people they have, who are also English Speaking. This is the ice breaker. After that, they start looking for more young people in English speaking nations. Pop Idol, which spawned many other Idol shows including American Idol, Asian Idol, and many more, shows how to do this. Simply hold auditions in several large cities. Create a show similar to the Idol shows. Make this one center around creating an international pop group. Have a season where it is boy groups, and a season where it is girl groups, and keep alternating. The end goal should be to create groups made of of international members, with the focus on speaking English, and a second language, maybe even a third language. In fact, after their performance skills such as singing and dancing, learning languages should be what they work on the most. It should be a priority of the company. The show would draw interest, and make young boys and girls dream of being a member of one of these groups. As a result, they will buy music and concert tickets. But why English? Easy. English is the language of wealth. Mandarin, if I recall correctly, is the most spoken language on Earth. However, the individual wealth of the average Chinese person is not very high, yet. This is why Kpop groups concentrate on learning Japanese instead. There is money to be made in Japan. However, Japanese is not a common language outside of Japan. English, on the other hand, being the international business language, is commonly learned in many countries, so even if it is not the primary language, it is still a language that many young people learn in school. This is why it is not uncommon for many English speaking acts such as Taylor Swift to have hundreds of millions of unique views on RU-vid, for each song. And, it is important to understand that the individual wealth of many westerners is similar to the Japanese, and in some countries, even higher. Americans for instance, spend a lot of money on a concert ticket. In some cases, over $1,000. That is why SM wants to create English language groups, and or, have existing groups learn English. Having Native English speakers in those groups would help the others learn English. Most of the Western world has become very cosmopolitan, meaning that it is very multiracial. Thus groups that reflect that, using the method that Kpop groups use of all members getting attention, would be very popular around the world...at least in the west it would be. The idea here being that SM could create a couple of Asian only groups that are successful, but at some point, those who are not Asian would get tired of seeing only Asians. At some point, something in their minds says, "Hey, what about somebody who looks like me?" This is why SM would want a diverse portfolio. Some Asian only groups, some Caucasian only groups, some Latino only groups, etc... but the focus should be on creating multiracial groups.

i say yes to jessica, krystal, & kris(exo) having more contracts, recording contracts,tv, radio appearances & pray that jessica & snsd would be able to perform together on stage, tv, radio, concerts, fan meetings/ guestings if there would be a special agreement between coridel entertainment & sm entertainment made regarding their comeback. as for krystal she seems perfect where she is in F(x) as of the present moment but who knows maybe she can someday be added to snsd. as for this song say yes it has a good vibe to it and i wish it had an extended version of it. love you jessica & krystal. love joel
