Stunningly beautiful performance. Her talent, humility, charm, honesty, openness, and loving attitude made her so different than everyone else in that industry. She has serious wisdom and intelligence at such a young age and the industry/men minimized and over sexual her ….but she found her voice again and came out holding nothing back, thank god! Her worth is immeasurable! Beautiful girl ✨💎
She had the voice, amazing technique with belting this out live and her looks were incredibly gorgeous face and teeth... Beautiful full blonde hair, I just wish she had made a bigger career.
I used to have this interview on tape! Thank you so much for posting it. It’s nice to remember that her persona wasn’t always so dumb! She seems very put together here.
Amazing! Never seen this performance before.. it's so impressive how many times she sang this extremely difficult song live! Thank you so much for sharing this!
She had a very good instrument, but she used it quite strangely and irresponsibly. The only reason she was ever able to belt those notes like that was because of her naturally high soprano tessitura. But her actual method of getting to the notes was 100% unsustainable. That's why she stopped being able to replicate the original vocals after just a few years into her career. In fact, she removed the song from her set list altogether for the entire second half of her 2004 national tour. Her biggest hit, and she completely stopped singing it. Never to be heard live again after early 2004. But that's what happens when you sing entirely from your throat instead of learning how to place the notes healthily ... It becomes increasingly more strenuous, and you end up squeezing, grinding, and over-stretching the dear life out of your vocal cords to the point where they lose their elasticity - and in turn, you begin to lose your range. Sadly that's exactly what happened. She could have done a lot better.
I appreciate the time that you took to watch this. I'm sorry that your left ear suffered a great loss off a vintage VHS tape rip lol. If I had a time machine I would change it all just so your ear would suffer no more
Cool story: In 1999, i met a girl on AOL Instant Mesanger. After messaging almost every day for about 8 months, I drove to Florida to meet her - I'm from Buffalo, NY. Don't forget, people usually didn't meet online back then. Nervously, we met and hit if off (I was 19, and she was 16.) I know the age difference is a little odd, but her parents were cool with it. Anyways, I heard that Jessica Simpson was going to sing this song live on the Rosie O'Donnell Show, but I had to miss it because I had class, and i had told that to Jen (that was her name.) Unbeknownst to me, Jen taped it for me, and mailed it to me!
if they had kept her image like it was the first time she came out and her singing style,. she would have been huge in music! I remember when I wanna love you forever was spankin new on MTV and thinking she reminded me of Mariah Carey then I saw she was not he same label but it just went left - I could see they were trying to have her be like Britney and Christina which was silly because she stood out just being herself
The belting is alright, like it had potential... but all the verses, the squeaks on purpose, little cute breathy words, sexy effects... it's a little odd
@@erikm8372 it's just her unique style that made her stand out. She did not want to be like Britney or Christina. That style isn't for everyone, but you can't deny that she had loads of talent and potential.
