Soooooo proud of Jessica for overcoming her battle with drinking. I know it's not easy and I commend her for being so strong and sharing her experiences with the public. May she continue to stay strong and blessed. 🙌 🙏 I'm a surviving adult child of an alcoholic parent who lost her battle to cirrhosis of the liver as a result of years of hurting herself through alcohol abuse. It is a lifelong struggle. Not everyone can overcome addiction, and I really am proud of Jessica and anyone else who can get through these challenges.

What I love so much about Kelly Clarkson, and Drew Barrymore too, they make a connection with their guest! It feels like watching 2 girlfriends catch up that haven’t seen each other in a while… so many talk show hosts have guests on and it just kinda feels like they just want to guest in and out, and get the interview over with. But with Drew and Kelly…. They make a connection with them.

So thrilled to see and hear this interview as I had not been aware of Jessica's story and how she has soldiered on to recover and excel after traumatic brain injury. As a person who was the dean of a college before head injury, I have understand her journey to recover and I have huge respect for her determination. Injury to a certain part of the brain can definately cause stuttering or other language related difficulties like aphasia. So pleased that she is writing and that Kelly is helping raise awareness, understanding and respect for others with neurological injuries and their ability to continue to contribute to our society in so many ways. More power to you both!

Jessica, Kelly - ignore the comments here. This must have been super difficult to discuss in general but Jessica Simpson has always been a dear with a no filter voice. She got ridiculed by the media for so many years when tearing female artists down was at its peak -- I think she is doing a wonderful job and we should SUPPORT and build up folks.

Hey Y'all, Ms. Kelly, I enjoyed the interview with Ms. Jessica. That's it, the documentary was on her life and her fashion line. I was impressed in her out the box thinking and style. Ms. Jessica is a highly intelligent business woman. I didnt know she had been in a car accident had obtain a head injury, Im sure it affected her speech and singing is the way out. I find her interesting. Best way to communicate is to sing through it. I love that. Im looking forward to reading her book, when I get a chance. Alcohol is a depressant. Makes everything worse. Alcoholism affects the whole family, relationships, doesn't care who you are where your from and any age and the list goes on. Death, institution or jail. list goes on. Iam grateful. My authentic self most people cannot handle my unfiltered talk. I go deep. How far down the rabbit hole a person wants to go. I will explain and show how to get to the other side. Not everyone is ready to hear the truth. Congratulations on your Open Book.

I love therapy too

So many people are afraid of therapy. I believe in therapy. Yes, it's scary, its work, and it's revealing to one's self. So I really believe it's not therapy people are afraid of, its the results of what they will find (about themselves or anyone else in their lives) during the process. It's completely understandable, but it is such a valuable and life changing experience if you're willing to be brave and courageous. I appreciate these two women for talking real life so that others can learn and hopefully find the inspiration to grow and move to better too. ❤🙏🏼

People just don't get that she was in a car accident and was stuttering before coming a pop star, her brain was already altered before becoming an alcoholic. She got over the stuttering by singing. So her slow speach is bascially she is doing better then stuttering. She is a very smart person with a lot of humor. She is funny and very smart.

This is not to be mean, but can someone please explain: Is she actually sober here and she permanently sounds drunk or is she drunk? I'm so confused. Is this a side effect of long term drinking? Also, howcome she looks anorexically skinny in her social media posts, but normal in person? Did she have an eating disorder for 3 years or was it all ridiculous filters? I'm so confused by this woman.
