Jessie J really carried the torch of the Vocal Trinity during this competition. She's always been a fantastic vocalist but she took her talent & prowess to new heights during this era! 🌟
Her most underrated performance on the series. It's just as good as the performances people talk more about. A real highlight of this one is how amazing both her HIGH and LOW notes both are. A typical performer might triumph in one or the other (usually the high end) . She does in both. Frankly, and this sounds dirty, Jessie J has the most beautiful low end of any contemporary popular female singer. And yet she simultaneously has a great high end too. Add to that her evolved level of taste, of decision making in arranging, and her ability to emote, and you have an amazing package.
when xtina sings this, she does not take a pause to breath anytime she needs. she risks and conveys the emotion. jessie J is known for taking unnecessary pauses...
Did you know that Jessie began her career on stage (11 y/o) with a role in the West End musical Whistle Down the Wind😍❤️ And later on she She joined the National Youth Music Theatre and appeared in their 2002 production of The Late Sleepers.
Please check out Jessie J performing Bang Bang in the show with KZ and Coco Lee who was the first Asian ever performed on the Oscars!!! You missed that! 😁
i could honestly be happy watching you react to jessie j (esp her the singer performances) all day. she's extraordinary. i hope there's another performance you missed somewhere along the lines! haha. & the song is beautiful; probably paid more attention to the lyrics as a girl & older kid than you (i'm sure!), haha. mulan came out in what, '98? that's my first guess anyway... so i was at least 11 or 12. this song was super important to preteen me.
Thank you for finding this one...absolute perfection. Her acoustic version of Queen is stunning, and oh the pianist 😚 also love her acoustic version of Burning Up in the middle of a marketplace from a few years back. I will ALWAYS watch anything Jessie J you react to. Love how you appreciate her lower register as much as her high notes and runs. Queen of emoting
L💝VE Jessie J's beautiful vocal. Katrina Velarde did a JJ voice Empression. Would sure love to hear your Reaction on that. Lol. Thanks for the Reaction.😍😘
Jessie J is a vocal beast & I love Christina Aguilera version of this song as well!! I expected Jessie j to hit the same high notes as Christina Aguilera...🎶🎶
Anthony Toh Jessie J sang this far better. This performance was flawless, it's not debatable. Christina has no control, and shit technique...she sounds like a dying seal.
Yeah you certainly skipped this one, which I was really waiting for you to react to. But finally you did! Now I'll just keep waiting for you to react to her singing "I'll be there" with Luke James, which is another one you missed and I think you should react to!!
It's time to do some reactions to Singer 2019. It's on air now. But sorry I can't recommend anything for you to react yet because I haven't watched it myself yet. 😁
I wish she didn't take some of the breaths she took, breaking up the phrases and losing some of the impact. Otherwise, excellent choices, especially during the verses. Christina should sing this again.
I think that's what made it stand out more to me, her rich beautiful low notes really flourished, aswell as providing beautiful high notes. I don't think belting a song in a higher key makes it more musically impressive or beautiful
No matter how effort or emotion she put doing a complicated song like that, the song was written for Christina Aguilera to sing it and no one can sing that song and sound as amazing like her. I repeat, no one.
