Tonio Mrl Untrue, Mariah bted an A5 in The One and even A Bb5 (which is higher) in Honey and a B5 somewhere I don't remember where, so first Mariah can belt that high of course, and second if someone doesn't showcase really high belts or high notes in general, it doesn't mean that singer isn't capable of doing that.

How on earth people have said this was a bad performance I just do not understand. The girl has an amazing voice and I haven't come across any artist that can sing this well live in a very long time. Amazing talent... :)
i think the reason it's slightly of key in places (there is no denying she is) is because the track is not playing loud enough for her to hear over her own voice. its a common problem especially when she sings so high and powerfully over a quiet track. she's one of the best performers i've seen and the x factor contestants should look at her with great jealousy. especially since she clearly puts so much effort into writing her own beautiful music and not just learning different lyrics every week
