She could do nothing but greet her daughter with the same courage. This makes her the greatest cleric. She doesn’t need spells to heal. Her very presence is a balm. This is beautiful and I love it. I've watched this several times now and it's just so lovely. I struggle with agoraphobia, like The Ruby, and the scenes of Jester stepping into the light to join the world and have adventures... along with the scene of her mother doing the same at the end... absolutely shattered. I cried, that was beautiful. I love that nobody pushes her or punishes her, they all respect her. She took that step out the door on her own.

The little detail of making Jester left-handed like Laura is so so so perfect, man I'm literally crying at how good this is

I never thought about how much and how quickly Jester has matured throughout c2. She's so positive and bubbly that I never considered how scared and alone she must have felt leaving the chateau for what what might have been the first time, suddenly thrust into a world that is so much bigger and more dangerous than what she knew. I'm glad she found Fjord shortly afterwards, I like to think that he started keeping his promise to Marion before it was ever made

Ngl, when it showed Jester running to the Mighty Nein, I teared up a little.

OH NO OH NO MY HEART!!! The direct parallels between the drawings and the scenes and then the very end showing the drawing of jester and her mom again oh my god that broke my heart hhhhh!!!!

This song became such an important song to me because of this video. That realisation that The Ruby was agoraphobic and it was portrayed in the series tastfully. Then this video and song combination. So much so that I almost burst into tears when I heard it on the radio once. I have agoraphobia and rarely go out along, that time it came on the radio was one of the few times I was out by self. Took alot not to cry happy tears.

!!! This is so great! From Jester’s childhood drawings, to having to flee her hometown, to leaving again with her friends, the whole animatic hikghkighting the mother daughter relationship! I love it!

1:54 just really makes me cry. I have really bad social anxiety and I'm so used to being alone that I don't realize how great it is to step out and be with people I love and who I'm comfortable around. I just really relate to Jester, and a lot of the time I feel like i'm a child and everyone has passed me by. This is just very emotional and beautiful and I love it. And I love this song by Billie. I try to remember that it's worth it

*claps hands between each word* oh my GOD i have been WAITING FOR THIS BEAUTY FOR SO LONG and BOY IS IT THE MOST BEAUTIFUL THING IM CRYING A LITTLE BIT. dont even get me started on how many HECKING FLATS there are here you know what i know exactly how it feels im so proud of you this is AMAZING. the floaty way all the stills are constantly moving fit PERFECTLY with the music and the little bits of animation with key frames were 👌👌👌 ah may ZING. GORGEOUS. ICONIC. the subtle shifts in facial expression and body language are so indicative of marion and jesters love for each other and hhhhhh i can FEEL the motherly embrace. this gave me so many warm feelings and thats mostly due to the brilliantly constructed narrative and that underlying feeling of jester's coming of age story and thats So. Good. so well done. im running out of positive adjective but its all of them trust me. when the music picks up and the visuals also get faster love the pacing so much it works SO WELL. i love this i cant even BEGIN to describe it.

It's crazy how a group of characters can shape us, and I will admit, Cad and Jester have shaped me more than real people in my life. Their outlooks and ideals are something that just rings so true within me. I could never of predicted the way these two clerics changed me, just as their players have. This video is beautiful and just reminds me of it everytime I see it. Thank you for this gift of a video

uh ok well i didn’t plan on crying today but i teared up halfway through this and by the end i was a mess, this is so so beautifully done and i absolutely love that you flipped the script at the end - marion, who was always jester’s teacher and caretaker and this figure of strength and authority in her life, learns from jester instead. she sees how much she’s grown and learned on her journey and overcomes her own fears to continue to be with her daughter even if only for a moment and i’m crying again thanks

this actually gives me an idea for decoration.. if I ever have a family, I want to set up the lower half of the hallway walls for the kids to draw pictures on

The current campaign, I’m playing as a pirate taken in by a tiefgling warrior woman who looks a lot like the Ruby of the sea. This hit too dang hard for me.

Both my mom and I are Critters and the relationship between Jester and her mother and the whole theme of learning to let your grown children go and have their own adventures is one that deeply speaks to both of us at the moment (I am about to move across the country from her). This video captures all of our bittersweet feelings on the subject and how we’ve felt watching Jess and her mom interact in the series so incredibly beautifully. At every turn in the song you chose a unique beat to strum. It's breathtaking. It's breathtaking and it has redefined this part of Jester's playlist for me *even though I knew it would be about Mayrene's agorophobia but every step towards there was clever and opening image, closing image. It's the best tool in writing for video.

**SPOILERS** I love how the line "don't hide" started out as Marion telling her daughter to leave the city instead of hiding in the tower from her rich, angry client, but then it turns into Jester telling her mama not to hide away from the world and to come with her to find Jester's father. That really got me.

If no one's tweeted this beautiful song to Laura Bailey and the rest of the Critical Role gang, then someone needs to do it because this is just...ugh, I'm far the only person who nearly or did cry I know, but I about cried in this one. All of those pictures were beautifully done, and the song matched perfectly, no question. :D I am in awe as are many people here have already said my friend and I want to see so much more.

Man, you did just a good job that even when I'm just listening to this song I get the feels because it reminds me of you animation, this is too good.

This animation is very well put together, seamlessly demonstrating a story through art mixed in well with the music. The pacing was great, and felt very smooth. The light was well done, getting darker until the release of Jester joining the group right on queue of the music.

I love this so much. So glad it crossed my feed again. I hope if this ever makes it to show form, too, they make a music video just like it.
