I feel his pain… we once had a border collie puppy who (luckily in a car and deer free location), took off running and refused to come back. She ran for almost five miles with me in hot pursuit, insulting me by lying down and waiting at the tops of steep hills before taking off again as I reached the top. After arriving at a sandy beach, she decided to take a dip in the sea and it was then that I caught her. We got the bus back… from what should have been a ten minute walk around the local park but took almost three hours. Bless 😂

I know exactly how this man felt. I was at a friend's place some years ago and noticed that his flock was gracefully leaping through the air together in the distance-with my dog hot on their trail.

I called my dog fintan after this video, he passed away today, this video brought a smile to my face

I had that happen with my German Shepherd. She took off into the woods after some deer. I was screaming for her for several minutes and she bounded back out, looking happy as can be!!

I'm ashamed to say I've only just found this, but not ashamed to say it's glorious!!!

This happened once to my poor Dad who was in his 70's at the time. We'd only had the dog a month and my Dad took the dog blackberrying in an area he'd never been to before. The dog was loosed in the field and accidentally touched an electric fence and took off like a rocket. My Dad tried running after him and nearly had a heart attack. He didnt know what to do so started walking back to the house, heartbroken. On his way back through the village he asked a chap if he'd seen a collie running loose and the guy said it had shot past him a few minutes ago. Luckily, after walking for half an hour he arrived back home to find the dog lay on the front doorste, happy as larry.. Somehow, it had crossed multiple roads without getting run over or lost. Bless😅

2019 and I'm still crying with laughter at this. Fenton is literally living his best life in those 30 or so seconds. Absolute gold.

I think most dog owners can say they've been there, and have great sympathy for the man running and yelling trying to catch his dog Fenton. My own dog always translated the word "stop" as meaning run away faster.

I had never seen this before. Today is my 40th birthday and I will forever remember this iconic original video. Even if I'm tardy to the party :)

I’ve been told that this video is years old, I have no idea how I’ve missed it as a 45 year old man but I can honestly say with a strong stomach and bladder this is the closest I’ve ever been to wetting myself, the panic in the owners voice is just hilarious and something I can completely understand because I have a golden retriever as a dog and they’re known for their stubbornness, it’s just so so funny. Brilliant.
