Excellent singing and acting!! Judas, Pilate and Jesus were very good. Herod was hilarious. Caiphas and his men were awesome as well.. Wonderful show.🌹

Wow, just wow... I searched for over 6 years for this... I thought nobody had recorded the full score... I'm crying now, 2 years after I gave up... drew sarich fired my heart when I was just 15.

It is always interesting to see the different ways this musical is put on the stage in different countries.

The actor playing Judas has an amazing voice. When he hit that note on "Everything's Alright" I was amazed. The note was perfect!!

First saw the JSC when I was a student in 1973, what a great masterpiece of Andrew Lloyd Weber and Tim Rice. It's ageless. Hope every generation to come can enjoy this. Long live rocknroll !!!!

drew sarich’s judas on stage as a character is very different. i liked how he was very vulnerable for more of the show (this can be seen in hosanna specifically). he seems to care a lot for jesus and that’s why it’s such a contrast to see him making fun of jesus in superstar. i think he’s great as an actor, from his decision to always watch and follow jesus to his obvious vocal talent. i could literally almost sink my teeth into some of his notes. fantastic, my favorite judas ever.

Even with an average-not-great Jesus, this is far and beyond my favorite production - the staging and chorus are amazing, and DREW SARICH AS JUDAS!!! He takes the whole thing from “great” to “transcendent”. Also just aesthetically my favorite treatment of “Superstar” the song. Just overwhelmingly wonderful.

This is the best adaptation I've seen of the production. This is the best cast. The way that use the scenery is actually really great as well as the visuals.

OMG! There was not one element in this production that wasn't BRILLIANT! Everything fit so perfectly together. Lights, set, choreography, blocking, costumes, and that's not including the acting and singing, IN A FOREIGN LANGUAGE! BRAVO! This is by far the best production of JCS that I've ever seen, and I've seen lots of them since 1970. I just happened to find it on RU-vid and clicked, just to see if if it was in German or English and I was captivated from the beginning. Even the curtain call was amazing. Polite applause, bc I thought Austrians to be somewhat reserved, but then the stage lights came on and the audience literally went wild! It's been, wow, 18 years.... You ll get the glory / forever and ever and ever.

Wow... the removal of Jesus from the cross, timed to Webber & Rice's "John Nineteen: Forty-One" music... breathtaking. Best Adaptation since the original, for me as well.

22:35-23:35 for some reason, this is the only production where I get an actual sense Judas and Jesus genuinely have a close friendship

I love all the different versions I'm finding on RU-vid. I'm so amazed at the talented casts. This one did not disappoint. The end of this one was so intense - I was in tears. This is coming from someone who saw it live when it first went on tour with the original cast.

I'm a sculptor and with my headphones on I've listened to many many Jesus Christ Superstars soundtracks on RU-vid and happy to come across this one I'm a huge fan of it and other than the original with Ted Neely and Carl Anderson this is my favorite the director and the choreographer are out of this world Judas is pray tell one of the best that I've ever seen nobody can surpass Carl Anderson but he is out of this world good great great production

The Wizard highly recommends this Filmed Stage Version , a surprisingly incredible Chorus and the dancers are really good too.If you love this Musical as I do ,I still sing along to it just like when it first came out in the early 70's on any version, then enjoy this if you got a couple of hours to load up sing along !!!!!

Okay, this needs to be a CD. Because I cannot find a Judas to compare to Drew and just… I don't know. I need Drew Sarich's Judas like I need air.

This really is a brilliant performance, particularly Judas and Pilate (when he's not doing that strange straining thing). I'm not sure whether it looks good or not, but the visual representation of Pilate's Dream is certainly an interesting touch.

After years of listening to this version, I learned to really appreciate the actor playing Jesus. He is great really and is a great partner to Drew's Judas. Also oh God, but the Orchestra and Assemble are top-notch as well. Just. The Austrians did an amazing job with this version and interpretation. Definitely one of my all-time favorites.

There's been a lot of renditions of JCS, but this just has a lot of stuff that I really like that the others don't. Surely nothing can master the original Neely version, but it's just something about the choreography, certain singers they picked and the whole presentation of it that is just amazing. Sarich and Herod are just amazing, exceptional singers, I cannot stop listening to them. The only problem I have is Jesus, I really hate saying this because I don't like being mean, but Jesus was just not a good choice or a good voice. Someone commented saying his acting was empty and not a good singer for JSC, I sadly have to agree with this, to be Jesus you need to have a certain power in your voice and you need to have a power in your voice to really hit the pitch of the notes, playing mighty Jesus means hitting mighty notes. Maybe he's suited for another musical, but he's not suited for this one. Honestly I think Sarich should have played Jesus, he did an amazing cover of Gethsemane and then find someone else for Judas. Other than that, this is amazing. I wish I could have been there seeing it live.

Every Easter since 2013 I come here to enjoy this superb cast with great mention to Drew Amazing Drew!!!! I love you in anything you do and this performance was brilliant beyond words❤🙏 Drew I grew up in St.Louis myself and lived not too far from Webster Consv. did summer theatre at Siue and Muny ... unfortunately our paths did not cross in StLouis or New York but saw you in Vegas. This cast really nailed the genre. I've seen a lot of productions that are incredible and full of talented people who just didn't have a rock voice. The casting directors understood the assignment and cast appropriately. Also, I've never really considered Pilate or cared about who was playing him, they're all fine to me. I now have a favorite Pilate, and it's whoever this dude is. Holy shit he blew it out of the water.

Most often, viewers comment on Jesus and Judas, how well or how bad the artist has embodied his character. But few emphasize how unrealistically admirable King Herod is in this production. For some reason, a negatively charismatic, but poorly singing and dancing person is most often chosen for this role. This performance is a rare exception. It's a shame that the video quality leaves much to be desired…

This was produced in Austria, but no worries. Everything’s in English. This is such an energetic rendition of Jesus Christ’s last week. I’ve watched it several times already. I must say, though, for those of us well aware of the actual story, there are some major discrepancies and omissions. They become somewhat overshadowed by the energy, the fantastic singing, the choreography, and I have to say, the acting, which exceeds superb. A shout out to the stage crew for the unbelievable stage sets and the Special Surprises you created for your unsuspecting audiences. Nine and a half stars out of ten !! There are stand out performances, and I hadn’t expected such brilliant settings, and on point singing. Brilliant, ladies and gentlemen! You’ve certainly done yourselves proud!! God bless!
