The Bible says that same sex intercourse is a sin and damnation. If two people of the same sex are attracted to one another but do not engage in sexual activities, they are not sinning. In all cases of sin, it is turning that 'temptation' into the action. The only 'sexual' sin that does not require action, is lusting after someone.

This is such a bad argument from these progressive "Christians." Firstly, it's an argument from silence. Just because Jesus never explicitly condemned homosexuality in the Gospels, it doesn't mean that He was perfectly okay with that practice. Secondly, there's many things that Jesus said and did that aren't recorded in the Gospel accounts (John 20:30, John 21:25), so for all we know, He may have explicitly addressed and condemned homosexuality to an individual or a group of people at some point. Thirdly, we know from heterosexual marriage being affirmed in Matthew 19:4-5 and Mark 10:6-8, as well as His mentions of the judgment of Sodom in Matthew 10:15, Matthew 11:23-24, Luke 10:12 and Luke 17:29 what He would have said about homosexuality. Besides, other New Testament authors mentioned about the wickedness of Sodom and their judgment, such as Paul (Romans 9:29), Peter (2 Peter 2:6) and Jude (Jude 1:7).
They know Paul addresses it, they just use Jesus because "Jesus is greater than Paul!" while completely ignoring that Paul was appointed by Jesus. Jesus' ministry was to the Jews and they didn't need to be taught this issue. That's all it is. Paul speaking to the Gentiles had to bring it up.

These arguments are silly because the Bible isn’t supposed to cover every subject in history but it has clear principles how we address every aspect of our lives. Jesus does not directly mention homosexual activity. But Jesus does confirm in Matthew 19:8, pointing toward marriage's existence as a male/female, one-flesh union “from the beginning.” Furthermore, we believe that God intends sexual intimacy to occur between a man and a woman who are married to each other (1 Cor. 6:18; 7:2-5; Heb. 13:4). On top of that the Bible is the word of God. There are several bible verses that condemn homosexual activity(Lev. 18:22; Romans 1:26-27). We don't need Jesus to directly quote it to know it is a sin.

Jesus wasn't there to condemn people for breaking God's law (which is the definition of sin). He was there to save humanity. Jesus did not come to start a new religion or change God's law--he came to perfectly KEEP God's law so that he would be a sinless sacrifice for human sin. Did you understand that? SIN = BREAKING GOD'S LAW. God's law already existed. Jesus did not contradict or change God's laws because they are HIS laws.

Even if Jesus did not openly condemn the practice (which He actually did), that certainly cannot be used as evidence that He condoned the practice. For example, where does Jesus openly state that bestiality is wrong? Where in the New Testament does Jesus state that polygamy is wrong? Where does Jesus specifically condemn pedophiles? Can we say that Jesus condoned using crystal meth because there is not an explicit statement from Jesus’ mouth that says “do not smoke crystal meth?” The idea that silence from Jesus on a subject means He approved of or condoned the practice cannot be used for proof that He supported the practice and gives His blessing on it. Here is why I believe that Jesus did, in fact, speak against homosexuality. On several occasions, Jesus condemned the sins of adultery (Matthew 19:18), sexual immorality (Matthew 19:9) and fornication (Matthew 15:19). These terms describe any type of sexual intercourse that is not within the confines of a marriage ordained by God. When Jesus mentioned sexual immorality he definitely had in mind the acts of homosexuals Jesus then proceeded to define exactly what God views as a morally permissible marriage. Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning made them male and female, and said, “For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh”? So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate” (Matthew 19:4-6). By defining marriage as between one male and one female, Jesus effectively condemned all other arrangements, including but not limited to one man and two women, one woman and two men, three men and one woman, one man and one man, one woman and one animal, and so on and so on. Jesus does not have to condemn every possible kind of sexual behavior in order for us to know that it is wrong, that is just crazy. When He defined marriage between one man and one woman, He clearly showed that such an arrangement is the only one authorized by God. When we look at the New Testament, we see the authors boldly and specifically condemning the practice based on the revelation they received from the Holy Spirit. Some people seem to think that only the “words in red” are Jesus’ teachings. The entire Bible is the Word of God.
There is a lot the plus take out of context. The story of Jesus is one of them. The Old Testament did deal with all of this stuff, and Jesus, as you said... did not correct it. For instance, Elijah confronted the evil King Ahab, who had led the people astray by worshiping idols. Ahab’s wife, Jezebel, had even erected a temple for the false god Baal. Jesus never bothered to talk about Jezebel until the Book of Revelations as people knew the story.

Having homosexuality feelings isn't a sin. Homosexual acts are a sin. This has been proven and will always be proven. That being said, anyone who puts their faith in Christ, will be saved. He will change you. Might be immediate, might take years or even decades. I fight and sometimes give into sin as everyone else does. Sometimes, I go months or years living in sin. But I'm forever grateful that God will always keep you. It's never to late to repent.

Jesus is the Amen. Deut 27 states an Israelite is cursed if he lies with a woman as a man. Then all the people said Amen. If Jesus endorsed same sex relationships he would have been cursed by God the Father and seen to be a false teacher. @JDDK28 I'm a theonomist. Some of the laws such as those related to animal blood sacrifices have been fulfilled by the atoning work of Jesus on the cross. All of the moral law carries over into the New Covenant age. We have been given a new heart and therefore out of love and gratitude to our Savior, our desire will be to obey the sacred commandments (although sanctification is a progressive process). The general equity of the civil and criminal codes in the Mosaic legislation should be applied to local, state and federal laws. In Mk 7:19, Christ declared all foods clean. A longer discussion would be needed to go over the reason behind the dietary restrictions. I hope that answers your question a little bit.

If you start picking apart the pieces that do, and don’t apply, then you are changing a lot more than jots and tittles. And Messiah never taught in literal terms, He always used parables and metaphors. Like what you reference in Mark. He wasn’t talking about food, he was teaching that what comes out of the heart makes a man unclean. He wasn’t talking about literal food. But even if He was, when people of that time were talking about “food”, they were talking about just that, food. Pig and other unclean animals, were not considered food in the first place. So, if Messiah is talking about food, pig, and the like, aren’t even in the equation in the first place, because they were not Considered food per the Torah. We add that in there because we want an excuse to eat bacon. Likewise, the line that “Jesus declared all foods clean“ is not in the original scriptures. That was added very recently in more recent translations. However, I thank you for taking the time out to reply. It’s rare to talk with someone about Torah without them getting very defensive and/or offended. But you are also right, a comment section is not a place where we can adequately discuss things.
