Why do people worship Jesus? Because of our fear of death, we are the only type of mammal who has that fear. So humans will always search for things to cope with the thought of being non-existant for all eternity. Most people think that life owes them something, preferably an afterlife, but newsflash: it does not work like that. We now know true science how life started, and can now catalogue the Bible as a work of fiction. I see no difference between believing in Jesus and believing in Santa Claus. And for those fearing death, there is beauty in limited time as well. If you were to have an eternal life, you wouldn't love as intense, many things would lose their beauty if you could behold them forever.
