I found this church online due to these awesome hymns. Can’t believe they only sing straight from the hymnal as in the older days. Love it! We watch their church services every week. None better!
As I travel through this pilgrim land There is a friend who walks with me Leads me safely through the sinking sand It is the Christ of Calvary This would be my prayer, dear Lord, each day You help me do the best I can For I need Thy light to guide me day and night Blessed Jesus, hold my hand Blessed Jesus, hold my hand Yes I need Thee every hour Through this pilgrim land Protect me by Thy power Hear my feeble plea O Lord, look down on me When each time I kneel in prayer Blessed Jesus, hold my hand Let me travel in the light divine That I may see the blessed way Keep me that I may be wholly Thine And sing 'Redemption's Song' some day I will be a soldier brave and true And ever firmly take a stand As I onward go and daily meet the foe Blessed Jesus, hold my hand Jesus, hold my hand Yes I need Thee every hour Through this pilgrim land Protect me by Thy power Hear my feeble plea O Lord look down on me When each time I kneel in prayer Blessed Jesus, hold my hand When I kneel in prayer I hope to meet You there Blessed Jesus, hold my hand.
Wouldn't Righteous devotion be as God commands for His church? We have no such command to use mechanical instruments of music in the New Testament church. The command is to sing.
Please j. MCC, in Psalms 150:4, the Bible commends us to "Praise the Lord with the timbrel and dance: praise Him with stringed instruments and organs". The Bible contains both Old and New Testament, not just the latter. The New Testament, is indisputable in its message of Grace, mercy, forgiveness and reconciliation to God through Christ Jesus and not through the requirements of the law. And the Old testament is not just all about the laws, there were lots of instances of God's Grace, love and mercy to His people as well as wonderful instances of worship and devotion to God from His Children (eg. David when the ark of God was brought back, it was done with great music and dance). In the New testament, God perfected this relationship with Jesus Christ. As for singing with Instruments, there is no "law" associated with it. It is one way we have to praise God and show him how much we appreciate Him for His Grace in sending Christ to die for our sins. And I can't see any sin praising God in this way does when it is done with a clear conscience and heart in love with the Lord Almighty. Nevertheless, God's Grace j.mcc, we are brethren in Christ.
The congregants and the choir can sing, wow, seem so happy. Pianist is excellent. Jesus is holding all our hands 🙏 with this Covid .tx. stay safe.😷🤗SAfrica

Lol! 😊 I love & live to praise Him! Mad love to all and may God Bless all who hear His word! Peace and Long Life! 🖖😎)
May God Almighty hold His people of Taiwan in the palm of His hand and deliver them from evil. Lord Jesus Christ please linger near to your people in these dark days
In a world of political bullying, even when this world doesn't hold my or our hand, at least Jesus always does. And His judgments, unlike political agitators or intolerant Muslim individuals, are just and righteous. Jesus judges and chastises us in a way that always helps us.
Is there any church that uses these wonderful old hymns exclusively? My uncle's funeral was held in a country Mennonite church. I remember old style hymns, a simple church, kind young minister in a white shirt and narrow tie. It was very touching. The contemporary songs leave me cold.
Nestes dias de quarentena, senti muito conforto da parte de Deus ouvindo as músicas desse ministro. Deus o abençoe. Duque de Caxias - Rio de Janeiro - Brasil

Malachi 3:6 6 For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed. John 5:45-47 45 Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust. 46 For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me. 47 But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words? Hebrews 13:8 8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever. 1 Samuel 15:23 23 For rebellion is as the sin of which craft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the Lord, he hath also rejected thee from being king. 1 Samuel 15:1-11 1 Samuel also said unto Saul, The Lord sent me to anoint thee to be king over his people, over Israel: now therefore hearken thou unto the voice of the words of the Lord. 2 Thus saith the Lord of hosts, I remember that which Amalek did to Israel, how he laid wait for him in the way, when he came up from Egypt. 3 Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass. 4 And Saul gathered the people together, and numbered them in Telaim, two hundred thousand footmen, and ten thousand men of Judah. 5 And Saul came to the city of Amalek, and laid wait in the valley. 6 And Saul said unto the Kenites, Go, depart, get you down from among the Amalekites, lest I destroy you with them: for ye showed kindness to all the children of Israel, when they came up out of Egypt. So the Kenites departed from among the Amalekites. 7 And Saul smote the Amalekites from Havilah until thou comest to Shur, that is over against Egypt. 8 And he took Agag the king of the Amalekites alive, and utterly destroyed all the people with the edge of the sword. 9 But Saul and the people spared Agag, and the best of the sheep, and of the oxen, and of the fatlings, and of the lambs, and all that was good, and would not utterly destroy them: but everything that was vile and refuse, that they destroyed utterly. 10 Then came the word of the Lord unto Samuel, saying, 11 It repenteth me that I have set up Saul to be king: for he is turned back from following me, and hath not performed my commandments. And it grieved Samuel; and he cried unto the Lord all night.
I’ve played the piano in church since I was 14 and I’ve never heard a song leader talk so long. If the pianist is done with the introduction, start the song
He leads singing like it should be done and makes the song and music come alive and helps produce enthusiasm in the singers. A song isn't just something to sing by rote and get done with before the sermon.
