I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. Today (December 26, Christmas 1), Luke 2:41-52 was our Gospel of the Day. And here is hoping that everyone reading this had a Merry Christmas and has a Happy New Year.

I wonder if the same PHD rabbis in the temple, who were amazed at Jesus at the age of 12 years old, were the same people plotting his death twenty years later. Surely they would have known him since childhood? I wonder if any of them remembered that 12 year old that taught them and amazed them all those years ago.

praise God bless you greatly brother you have been totally honest about the limitations of sinful man our Lord was human by his mom but man by God and wasn't corrupted by the sinful nature and yes his mind as well as his flesh was pure and able to love God the way God should be praised and loved thank you so much for teaching and acknowledging the holiness of our Lord and savior and never understood this until you explained it and I praise God for letting me hear it thank you God bless you in Jesus holy name

Here's another point: the Divine Nature is immortal, and if the Human Nature partook in the Divine Nature, then it would make the Human Nature immortal too. But if Jesus' Human Nature was immortal then He wouldn't have been able to die on the cross.
