The thief didn't go directly to Paradise... What Jesus said was, " I tell you today, that you will be with me in Paradise... Remember that Jesus didn't go directly to Paradise. He was in the tomb for three days and nights, arose, and then walked the earth for 40 days before He went to Heaven(Paradise).

The thief is in the grave, just like Abel, Enoch, Noah,Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Rahab, Gideon, Barak, Samson, Samuel, David etc etc.( Hebrews 11) all awaiting their resurrection (v 39-40) also John 3:13. Of all humans who have ever lived and died on this earth, Jesus Christ alone resides in the third Heaven where the Father and the righteous angels dwell. All those who died in the flood are still in their graves awaiting their resurrection. They have not had consciousness since their last breath before they drowned ( Ecclesiastes 9:5,10; Revelation 20:5). There was no punctuation in the Greek. “ I tell you today I will be going home.” When? There’s no clear indication. Based on all of the scriptures in the OT AND NT concerning death and the resurrection, the thief is still in the grave. The people that rise in the second resurrection will rise to a world that will have become a paradise over the first 1000 years of Christ’s rule and reign with His Bride (Revelation 19:7). Which resurrection the thief will be raised in, only God knows.

I have a question regarding the 24 Elders: Many suggest that these are the 12 apostles of Christ and 12 prominent figures from the Old Testament which sounds convincing enough. However, had these been the 12 apostles of our Lord, then, surely, Saint John the Evangelist - who was the beloved disciple and apostle of Christ -should have been one of them. But this could not have been the case, since when he ascended to Heaven he was still alive and undergoing a trial as a human. How then could we say that the 24 Elders he saw included the 12 apostles when John was one of them?
This interpretation proposes that the elders are symbolic of the twelve tribes of Israel (representing God's people in the Old Testament) and the twelve apostles of the New Testament (representing the Church). The number twenty-four is significant, being the sum of twelve (a key biblical number) and twelve. Hope this is helpful 🙂
@@deboraht6413 Just as the angels that Saint John the evangelist sees are real, I believe so are the Elders and not mere representations of the Old and New Testaments. The book of the Apocalypse is of course sealed and no one can be absolutely sure of who the Elders really are, or if whosoever John sees is a symbolic representation, or actual human beings who have earned this place by the throne of God, after having passed away. What I’m saying is that none of the interpretations given so far are 100% adequate explanations. In my point of view different scholars propose different scenarios, but all these interpretations have their weaknesses. Thank you kindly for your reply
I might interject here that 'the Lord's train filled the temple' is inaccurate as the reading in the King James Bible, but accurately that "Jehovah (was) sitting on a lofty and elevated throne, and the skirts ("skirts", Hebrew shuwl, meaning "a skirt, by implication, a bottom edge") of his robe filled the temple."(Isa 6:1, 2013 New World Translation)

I get it, and I think I can relate… I was listening to this one video that was about someone narrating Bible Scriptures. I would grab my Bible to follow the reader in mine. But it was never a match to what was in my Bible. So I stepped away from the videos until I started finding trust worthy ones.

paradise is not heaven but Abrahams bosom where Lazarus was when he communicated with the rich man in hell. Jesus didn't go to heaven immediately after he died likewise the thief.

So, Genesis 2:7 shows that until the first man Adam was "breathed into his face the breath of life" by God, he was a DEAD soul, or a non-breathing soul, for the word soul in Hebrew is nephesh, that literally means "breather, a breathing creature", so that anything that breathes IS a soul and NOT has a soul. For example, at Numbers 31:28, it reads according to the Catholic Douay Version: "And thou shalt separate a portion to the Lord from them that fought and were in the battle, one soul of five hundred as well of persons as of oxen and asses and sheep", in which the plunder that the Israelites acquired from them taking vengeance on the Midianites and Moabites for their women seducing Israelite men to worship Baal of Peor in exchange for sex, included people and animals who ARE souls and does NOT possess a soul. So, what has been learned here ? That (1), the soul breathes, (2) that the soul desires to eat meat, (3) that the soul can be destroyed, and (4) that the soul has blood. So, what is the proper conclusion of what the soul is ? Anything that breathes, such as animals, including insects and arachnids, and it is us as humans, us as a living person with all our desires, so that as long as we are breathing, we are "a living soul", but upon death we become a dead soul. And it need be understood that there is NO purgatory, for when a person dies, they cease to exist, as Ecclesiastes 9:5, 6 states according to the Catholic Douay Version: "For the living know that they shall die, but the dead know NOTHING MORE, neither have they a reward any more: for the memory of them is forgotten. Their love also, and their hatred, and their envy are all perished ("perished", Hebrew ' abad, meaning "to perish, causative, destroy"), neither have they any part in this world, and in the work that is done under the sun."
Read your Bible with the expectation that God will reveal himself to you as you do. Stop looking to the world to reveal him to you. The god of this world's system is the devil this is why you get his ads.
