You know he's drunk because he keeps leaning on his hi-hat when he's crashing he main crash.. I say that because that's what I do when I'm drunk. Hahaha
i wonder how the other drummers feel about him taking their songs, getting drunk and trying to dunk on them. Or playing one handed etc. Not sure how many friends he's making out there wild. Cool tricks though
@keithm3241 Music is so much more than that. Writing it is a different thing than practicing certain aspects. A musician in a band also has to keep in mind that they're often playing the same set for months on a daily basis while on tour. Going above and beyond will come back to bite them on the day they're not perfectly healthy. Maybe the band mates don't want too much of a drum track as well. Also just compare it to other art. No painter is pissed off because another does something better than them. Everything has a time and a place. Skill will always be admired
@rebel4466 nah its a dude that plays fast (and sloppy) trying to say these songs you created are beneath me. Watch me destroy it by putting way too much into the song.
@@blah9676 did you not watch his 2 million sub video? not sure how many people end up "missing" struggling with mental illness and depression and abusing alcohol to drown out their problems. if you miss those days tho live ur life bro. 😭💀
@@cadenguizar8360 I follow him from the begining of the pandemic, when his channel was still small. From depresion, alcohol and isolation (due pandemic) he managed to create all he's today. Back then he didn't have any support from big stars or even company at all, all he had was 1 tom, 1 pedal, 1 micro, 1 camera and 1 video every day. So yeah, that depresed person was also a person able to create something incredible, and I wonder if one can find that kind of motivation when you have 2 million subs, Drumeo goes to your home, Slipknot asks you to play their songs one handed, etc. Not saying that he goes back to this 24H everyday, but in these days things were extremely simple and he was waking a wonderfull path to what he's today.
@@blah9676 anyone doesn't think depression is real and if not recognized and treated, how it can have devestating results. Don't believe me? Ask Anthony Bordain, ask Robin Williams. EES, if you ever feel you're falling back there, please get help. You're such an inspiration for the youth of America, and I'm assuming Spain too.
There's vids of Children Of Bodom doing their stupid things in youtube and on one of the vids their drummer says something along the lines of "Can't take those liquors because I gotta have my stamina for playing"
This guy is a freak and super skilled in this craft. Drummers seem to stick to the script when covering songs, this guy does what I like to do put your own beat and fills into it, play it as if you wrote it, it's good practice. Imagination and creative thoughts to something old makes it new again. This gentleman has it all. Thank you for making many drummers feel like they haven't practiced enough, you are a hard act to follow. I forgot to say, he is a very humble and pleasant gentleman.
Watching this while drunk is incredible. Moving that quick for anything is far too much. Especially with tequila. That hangover must have been hell and a half. Well done
5 shots wouldn't touch the sides. The whole bottle might have some effect, but I'll take brandy or cask strength gin over tequila. I envy the people who can get tanked on five shots. Booze isn't cheap.
you have single handedly changed my perception on what is possible on a drum kit and indeed anything in life is possible with enough dedication and passion, thank you for sharing your talent and gift with us all
Love how good the recording is, so punchy and clear. I am by no means a drummer but your rolls sound so good to be just a snare and floor tom. Keep at it!
I closed my eyes for like 5 mins and just had a perfect nostalgia moment that felt so much more pure with you’re drumming, dude keep it up I love it!!!
@@lighthouseministries7 you have a point. i mean like once you know how to play well sober you can start to practice playing drunk/high and you’ll be even better once you get comfortable because you’re more creative when drunk off liquor/beer/wine or when high off legal marihuana, legal other substances
I love it, for who don't understands spanish I'll say just a quick little thing, on the 0:13 he says something that is translated to: do it a little bit more interesting, but he really says this: I'm gonna do what I fucking want xd
Yeah, lol. Este güey anda de pedo! He is spanish and spanish from Spain and Spanish from Latin America is pretty similar but a few differences here and there. It’s pretty easy to tell the difference, if you know spanish. (Also, yo soy Latína)
I am literally a professional audio engineer and I have no idea how this guy got this recording to sound this clean. I don't see any mics, but I also didn't notice a single moment that sounded off (as if he re-recorded it later or something). PLEASE tell me your ways man. I'm using multiple thousands of dollars of microphones attached all over the kit and I can only dream of my drum mix sounding this good. WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?
he probably already sounds super clean and punchy in the room without any mics. This guy needs no beat detective, comps or almost any eq. Sure it's easy peasy to make him sound good in any live scenario.
The only thing I picked up except EES not sharing his tequila with us, is around 3:20, I hear the two drumsticks seperately. This man does not do that. When he hits them both together, it sounds like ONE strike, not two. I'm no drummer and it may be deliberate, you guys know better than I do. Gotta go now. Heading to the store for some Tequila, El Jimador is the best. Full flavor, doesn't burn or taste like chemicals.
Amazing case study on how a skilled drummer with great cymbals and perfectly tuned drums sounds better than any monster kit. Take notes young drummers!
Yeah, it's the same for any instrument. You could hear Van Halen on a tuned 100$ guitar and he will always sound better than any regular guiar player on a 2000$. Sound is in the player.
@@denlillearge It’s super dead and snappy, and works well with how he plays his fills. It’s very articulate and punchy. I think it’s great. Definitely wouldn’t work in every circumstance, but I think it sounds great in this.
Dude, that's made my fucking day right there. As soon as I finish this comment I'm giving you a 20 minute standing ovation. Bravo and fuck yeah. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
The song is just so long I got an ad in the middle... I love this guy, those subtitles just crack me up. I wish my Spanish was better so I could know precisely what he is saying because I know those subtitles are *not* accurate.
I think since he's using the Yamaha drum module it doesn't actually matter, he can do all the mixing before hand, but still fun to see a fellow Audacity user ahah
- Says 'this song is too easy' - Plays it like a champ, and also sings it completely. I respect you very much sir! Lo tocaste la raja, saludos desde Chile!
Bro, I love your channel. It brings me so much happiness to watch you play with such joy. I love your setup. I have never understood why I have three toms. I want two base drums, 50 cymbals, a snare and a floor tom. For now my electric kit in my apartment will have to do. Keep up the beautiful playing!
A couple of weeks back I watched a video of 66samus, another awesome youtube drummer, who also reacted to you, so I've found you. He played drunk, too and was barely able to walk, but still played just fine. XD I think it's just the muscle memory of years and years of practice taking over. Cheers from a drum loving bass player.
Que loco! Soy nuevo seguidor. Yo! I'm a new follower from your shorts. And hearing you talk Spanish caught me completely off guard! Didn't think I can like your content more than I already do!
I stopped drinking in 08, watching him do those shots and then be so active was making my insides quiver. Lol never envisioned myself not wanting a drink, but...
the little ~weed~ that appears on screen at the end killed me and I busted out laughing, this was an awesome cover and not what I expected but thank you RU-vid recommended
I used to think you overplayed a lot, sometimes you do yes. But I haven’t been this hooked watching a drummer on here since early Cobus! Love to see it man keep it up! 🙌🏻
I watch a lot of drum covers, and as a drummer who was regularly drunk I am full of admiration both of the playing and how much you enjoyed this. This may well be the video that makes me break out the Ludwig's again, good job !!
