Lessons learned:
As I ponder over Jesus’ temptation, I first noticed Jesus’ use of Scripture. He started with the Word of God because it carries weight. Satan is sensitive to Scripture.
Often, as believers, we become defeated by Satan's tactic because we turn to Scripture last instead of first. Using Scripture through our actions gives us the authority to gain victory in the spiritual realm while allowing us to defeat the tactics of Satan, our accuser, right here in the natural realm.
My Prayer:
Dearest Heavenly Father, give us the discerning spirit to avoid temptation. In temptation, give us the strength to overcome whatever it may be. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
