I'm sorry. I know folks want Jesus to be rich so they have an excuse to be ballin outta control too, but Jesus lived a meek life and didn't have a lot of money. There is not much in the Bible that would suggest he had a ton of money. Even the verse when someone asked where he was from they were like "can anything good come from Nazareth". That man didn't come from riches and that's ok. He's still God!

The system of Christianity is not my jam but it takes a lot of misinterpretation to align Jesus with middle class values 😂 So with all the hoopla around Christianity I don't subscribe to the Bible still holds value for me. The way people choose to interpret it reveals more about them and what they value than anything. Jesus and his teachings even at the most surface level are firmly aligned with the "least of these". It's sad. The boy from Fallout boy was bullied so badly that he'd straighten his hair. His emoness was coming from true suffering. Halle Berry looks mixed when she leaves her hair natural, but she always had that cropped blowout that had us in a chokehold in the 90s. The way Kev presented the Twitter argument, they were talking about how He was perceived, not who He was. And most people today would have seen Him as a BAN. He ain't have no house, no job, no land. Just walking around with His buddies and spending time with those seen as the worst in society. People were asking Him for healing, peace, and forgiveness, not money. Judas was the one who held what money they did collect, so he would have been the richest one out of the group. The other disciples gave up their good jobs, and family businesses to follow Jesus so they would have been seen as BANs as well. Who knows if Thomas would have eventually believed had Jesus not pulled up on him. Who knows if we would have, had we not been told the whole story in such a complete manner, and had it explained to us in so many ways by so many people. Be thankful you live today, and in the country you live in. Some people are still getting killed today brutally like the disciples were for believing in Him.
From a financial point of view, Jesus could never be broke because according to scripture, He is God incarnate, and everything in the world belongs to God. So whatever riches people have/had they have is on loan from God until their time is up on earth. Jesus had the power to take everything back from everyone but instead chose to focus on teaching people and accomplishing a purpose that was much greater than anything anyone could buy- eternal life.
