@@HomesteadEngineering Your welcome! I was about 3 weeks away from pulling the trigger financially on this saw and I checked a few days ago and they raised the price on it by $400! It went from $899 to almost $1300! Anyway good review and hopefully they lower the price back down in the next year lol.

@@JK-ep9bz That is crazy! I picked this up for $700 in June of 2020. I found it at that price at multiple locations including Amazon and others.

@@HomesteadEngineering They still have it at one or two sites for $899 but woodcraft, rockler and most others it went up. All of Jet prices did. I just bought the 1221 lathe and it went up after I bought it by $200. I was told it has to do with all the shipping containers being held up in Cali, supply and demand what not. I was super bummed.

Great video I have the same saw but I installed the riser block to it you might want to do the same.. l went to school in the 80's also sounds like a long time ago lol

I have one if these. Love it. Just moved and had to reassemble it. It looks like you have a riser block installed. Want to use mine in model ship making. To move that top piece + riserblock + table assembly is heavy work.

Nice, David! I could hear how happy you were putting it together. You are one smart cookie and sure know your stuff. Obviously by the rolltop desk you made in high school creative carpentry was your passion/interest for a long time. Your desk is beautiful; I admire your talent and precision. Hello Melody, that desk is now close to 40 years old and has followed me around the country. Its made out of cherry. It has frame and panel dust panels with dovetail drawers. I only have three things listed in my will and that desk is one of them. Thanks!
