Jet lag is a sleep disruption to our body's internal clock. As we cross time zones, our bodies struggle to adjust to the new local time, resulting in symptoms like fatigue, irritability and insomnia.
The severity of Jetlag depends on how many time zones have been crossed and the direction of travel. For example, if you travel east like from New York to Dubai, you might find yourself wide awake at 3 am, because the arrival time is AHEAD of the local time, this type of East travel leads to a severe jet lag.
This is different if you travel west like from Dubai to New York, here the jet lag is not bad.
To prevent jet lag, try to take short naps during the day. Avoid Coffee, alcohol and get sunlight exposure. finally, taking 5mg of melatonin pill 1 hour before bedtime for a few days will help adjust your biological clock.
