omg this is so crazy but i remember watching your videos last fall while i was preparing for my CIR interview, and now i stumbled upon this vid while trying to prepare for JET departure in July!! thank you so much for taking us along the journey
i got shortlisted for jet a few weeks ago, and i’ve absolutely loved watching your content to learn about life in japan!!! thanks autumn for making such great videos!!
This is so helpful especially for me preparing to go in July! I will definitely be checking out some more of your videos later today during my breaks at work. Thank you so much for taking us with you 💛
I can't believe this just popped into my recommendations!! I watched and commented on your rejection video and GIRL I'm so happy you made it, what a blessing!! Congratulations! I hope you're having a blast 😄
I'm so grateful for this video. I am leaving this week for JET and this gives me further insight to how it will go if I test negative upon arrival. Thank you so much for this!
Just found your channel. This reminds me so much of when my significant other and I came over last October (he’s the JET) and they made us quarantine for two weeks 😢 those cold meals still look the exact same 😂
"I don't know what this is but it's cute so I'm definitely gonna eat it" 😂😂😂 Thank you so much for sharing! I recently got a job in my community here in JA, and I've been indesisive about applying to the JET program. I really want to, but I'm afraid of bad experiences lol. I let you know 🤭
Thank you for this video! How many total days do you need to quarantine? I’m a shortlisted JET leaving on July 23rd. I’m wondering if we will have a similar timeline/experience.
Well we only stayed at the hotel for 4 days but that’s because I am fully vaccinated. Some people had to do 14 days and some people who were particularly vaccinated had to stay in their hotel rooms the whole 4 days. It might not be the same but it will pay off to be fully vaccinated
@@_autumnmatic This might be personal, but how much money did you bring from home? I just want to be prepared because everyone tells me a different amount to bring. If you’re not comfortable sharing right now I understand.
No but it honestly will make it easier to get through quarantine. People who were not vaccinated had to wait 2 weeks, whereas I didn’t have to wait at all
It was sometime in April, which is uncommon. Most orientation is usually in August but because I was an alternate candidate and Covid it was pushed to about mid April
No it isn’t. An alternate can come in at anytime because they are usually covering drop outs. I picked to be a regular arrival (August) and someone who was picked before me changed their mind. I was made an alternate candidate and I was the replacement meant to come in February.
