Jet2 B737-300 Landing and Take Off at Liverpool Airport, April 2024

Today we were treated to another Jet2 B737-300 landing and take off of G-GDFT. Great to see another Jet2 B737-300 at Liverpool Airport especially outside of Leeds Bradford Airport, we've had two visits of the Jet2 737-300s now G-GDFN & G-GDFT. Fantastic to have the opportunity to capture both Jet2 liveries on the 300 at Liverpool Airport, Jet2 Holidays & Jet2 grey. This particular B737-300 G-GDFT is the only 300 still left in our favourite red/grey Jet2 livery. This B737-300 G-GDFT we've seen many times as G-TOYM of bmibaby. Filmed from Viscount Drive, which gives great views of the landing and take off on RW27 & 09.

Great catch! Interesting to see them at a UK airport that isn’t Leeds.

Thanks, lucky to have captured both a Jet2grey 737-300 and holidays 737-300 within a month at LPL, outside of Leeds. G-GDFN (Jet2Holidays) that visited LPL was ex. easyJet and was G-EZYH, seen G-EZYH many times as easyJet at LPL great to the 737 back at LPL. Seen G-GDFT (Jet2Grey) many time as G-TOYM of bmibaby at MAN & EMA, G-GDFT is the only 737-300 still left in the grey livery and G-LSAI the only 757 still left in the grey livery. Hopefully more to come from Leeds Bradford!

Was this to further fill capacity or to replace one of the based -800s that had gone tech?

Hi, it was taking Everton FC to Newcastle for a Premier League game (G-GDFT). Everton FC returned on a Loganair ERJ-145 G-SAJH. This is the 2nd Jet2 737-300 we've had outside of Leeds Bradford on a Everton FC charter recently, G-GDFT & G-GDFN. G-GDFN flew them to Faro for training and returned them too, G-GDFN stayed with them in Faro for 5 days.
