I can't see much use for the colours, other than playing around, the beams are so spread out and weird it seems more a gimmick to me. I do like the design concept it's very nice, just needs more attention such as the power levels/variable power and I'd rathe have useful colour LED's v party ones. Otherwise just take them out!

@@MrBazReviews I have a larger Jetbeam that included the multicolor LEDs in the bezel, but I had a light defuser from another flashlight that fit the Jetbeam, and that makes the color LEDs look good, mostly because it softened them. What I'm seeing on the RRT3's pattern, though,....definitely more gimmicky. I might have considered this light if it had no color LED options and more sets in the power because I like the wide beam for EDC because mostly you're using it close up. I ended up getting the RRT01 Raptor, but wish the beam was a bit more wide...or at least with stippled reflector, rather than the smooth one it came with. Now, I did get another RRT01 Raptor with the warm LED that I use in the bedroom [because of the warmer tint, I prefer it at night]. And on that note, were you saying you prefer the cool or warm output LEDs?

@@DRayL_ I like the warm LED's mostly, though the cool ones on the 3Ms and other raptor are OK. This does have a N/W option, still same problem oddball colour LED's and only 3 power levels. Low isn't low enough for me 4 is the minimum I think for this model, or variable would have been nice. Maybe the next version will be better, the other RRT ones are not bad at all really.

@@MrBazReviews I agree that the warm LED is the most pleasant. The RRT01 I carry has decent cool white color, but I prefer my bedroom RRT01,...and use it there so there's less potential that it gets pulled out of my pocket and onto the ground scratching it! ;-) Thanks for the replies and reviews.

No as shown the main base/tail switch has the power on/off, the rotary part is for the levels/modes

I think they do a Nichia 219 version, why they didn't send it no idea - it's quite well known I'm much more into the warmer tints!

I'm not sure what you mean? It's more EDC type IMO the beam and size
