I like this man. He genuinely is looking out for others well being and safety. He divides his food ration in half and provides sustenance for his fellow man. I wish more people were like him.
Just got the Jetboil Zip, stumbled on your tutorial Jim... It was perfect!! Ready try it out in the mountains of Virginia. Checked a couple of your other videos out there 100% and I am subscribed
Would just suggest you put the items in a small ziplock bag before putting back into the mug. Makes it easier to pull all of it out, but also prevents scratching the inside of the mug (if your planning on keeping it for a number of years)
I cheaped out and got the 360 furno and pot set. Got it home and after fiddling around with it I then went out the next day and exchanged it for this (was on special). Nothing compares to the zip for ease of use in a field environment. Stays together nicely and fits in the pack nicely.
I used it to heat my camping food for about two month, just like You in this video. After that, I noticed that the cup is covered with thin layer of glue(apparently from the stickers on the packages). Maybe, You encountered the same problem and may advice how to clean glue from the cup?
Pro tip, 1, put meal in jetboil, 2, put water in, 3, bring to boil, 4, turn gas off, 5, place lid on top, 6, wait 5 minutes, 7, take lid off, 8, repeat steps 3-6 9, eat hot food while saving loads of gas.
100jim I got to say your video made my time in the field 100 I cooked my ginger pudding in 3 minutes and you was right it was steaming it tits off and the coffee I had after scolded my lips Im sold it thank you
Holy Mother of edits! I thought I was having a seizure with as much flickering of edits are in this video. Man, do us all a favor, get better at recording your videos on the first try, or close too it, or just stop doing them. The stop and restarts are terrible.
