I don't know if ill ever get another vehicle or truck. Vans do just about everything! Thank you very much. Thinking about making a video series of my next build!
You’re vans given me so much inspiration man! What’s the length of that couch/ bed & how tall are you? I love that setup and gives you so much garage space, but wanted to see if it could be a comfy setup for someone 6’1. Thanks!!
Hey Man, Sorry for the delay in response. I am 6'2, and the bed is 56.5 wide. I like to move both seats as far forward and folded up as I can get them during a weekend at the track, gives me extra leg room and room to move around! I also found a "life hack" for us tall guys in my last van. I just happened to build the couch just tall enough that when I would lay down I could put my feet in the window area of the side doors and that let me go straight and have my legs fully extended without touching. downside was it was a little tall to sit in so you'd have to slouch pretty good. Hope that helps!
Awesome van. I’ve given up looking for a pro master or transit so now I’m looking at the express. I have a WR450F, it should fit in the van right? Looks like it will fit lol
I have a whole video to explain the amount of work and stress I went through to get this Van. I was damn close to giving up searching a few times. yep the WR will fit you will just have to remove the mirrors or lower them if you have em on!
Love the build, been seriously considering one myself. What express ext do you have? 2500-3500 and what motor? What’s the mpg about with the motor you have?
Thanks man!! Its the 3500 with the 4.3l - stick wheels I was getting about 15.5 but with the aftermarket wheels I've been getting about 13.6. I love the look of the passenger a lot!
Thank you very much! When I first had bikes in the van I had a foam block in between the bar and the window. Now I usually have a towel or a my chest protector in-between the bars and the window. The way I strap the bikes in only allows for roughly 1-2inch between the bar and the window, it also allows the bike to be pinched between the front and the rear door and once the door is shut it really locks the bike into place and doesn't allow it to move. Not too worried about it anymore honestly!
I have plans to do the separation wall and sleeping area very similar to what you have done. What exactly is that chair/couch out of? And is it legal for passengers to ride on? Also it seems so with this layout the extended van is a must right? Thanks. Awesome layout you have i like it
Thanks for checking out my video! I got the bench seat from an overstock RV store, RVsurplusparts.net , this is an extended chevy! The extended van allows for the garage and sleeping quarters comfortably.
Hey Cody, I built the wall like you would in a house. I built studs/framed it out then cut and put wood up on the front side. on the back side I sealed it all in with foam insulation and then a few big pieces of home insulation. I then cut and put wood up on the back side to seal it all in. I will post pictures on instagram sometime this week to show you what I did! I hope this helps in the mean time!!
I got them from environmental lighting. Going to be putting together a Van style pack through them that will include the lighting pre cut to size for various van sizes and should be available later this year!
