Mr. Anderson I have been such a fan of your work since hearing Witches Promises and Sweet Dream and truly thought of you as a great teacher and forgive me for saying like a "messiah" to me! I play drums and knew every song up to Thick as a Brick ( by the way I know how it feels) til you got Barrymore back on the drums, whew, boy he's good, can I keep up with this? Any who all that I know of you is a mere speck of dust I'm sure! I don't know of any musician so dedicated so overwhelmingly talented (and you are sir) a real Shakespeare of word and Da Vinci of music ! I feel as if I knew you way back in Benefit and always dreamed of sitting down and jamming some new stuff with you! God speed thanks and please be well! ps I'm stuck on Heavy Horses as of late....
It's interesting to listen to he recording session guitar, because I don't think anyone could play those riffs like Martin could. Florian was OK, but I think Ian was always telling him what to do, and he just "shredded" which I guess is the term now. Martin really completed that Jethro Tull feel. Don't know what happened there, maybe they just got sick of each other, or maybe Ian got greedy or could not pay Martin what he was worth?
