I didn't get to see it because ESPN+ decided it was more important to air the Nissan commercial in case we missed it the first 1000th time this season.
@Robert-Peterson
@Robert-Peterson 10 месяцев назад
Most "tributes" to players occur during the first television commercial break. It's planned that way to not interfere with the game itself. it's the same with the "dance-offs" and the "trivia games" that occur during commerical breaks...it's something for the people in-house. So yeah....don't blame ESPN or any other network...it's how the NHL is run.
@joed9491
@joed9491 10 месяцев назад
@@Robert-Peterson - What does it matter when they do those whether it be before the first drop of the puck or first commercial break, the fact remains that ESPN+ didn't show it so it's not on the NHL, it's all on them.

Not really what happened, but ok... When youre making 8.125 million or whatever, and are 37 or whatever, that's a massive part of the business... The fact he took a league min deal showed his true value atm. He was set to make nearly 10x his true value atm this year. Sorry, but bye bye, and we'll give you a tribute video... Telling he got the C stripped from him as well a year prior... What's not his fault, was the fact the culture couldn't move forward with the guy still in the room, but he was OBVIOUSLY checked out his last years here. It was obvious to everyone who watched this team... With the money he made, it made it near impossible to drop him down the lineup in the bottom six where he belonged... He stopped doing a lot of community and charity things he used to prior... He got butt hurt that the media would bust his balls as the leader on this team, and then didn't want to fight back and prove the media wrong, or just ignore what you couldn't change, and keep being a leader regardless of outside noise. Rumors run wild around here of younger players not feeling comfortable going to Wheels about issues... Along with the previous coaching staffs especially Maurice having a SERIOUS love of vets over young players, that held them to a different standard, and allowed them to get away with more... And he took FULL advantage of that, along with Scheif and most of the top 6... It was his time to go...

He did a hell of a lot more for our community off the ice than most will. Whether you appreciate his on ice performance or not he’s a good human being and the people of Winnipeg won’t forget that. Make all the jokes you want but it’s unfortunate that’s where your brain goes for moments like these.
@BoboMcBooboy

@@TheKingOfPuppets747yep, because unlike you clowns, MOST winnipeggers have some class, and are capable of putting all his issues here aside, to celebrate all he did in the positive while here... Assuming you guys aren't just trolls here from some other fan base... Willing to bet if you are Jets fans, you're the same clowns who try to make the same "screw people who dont want to be here, and find some who are grateful" - ...And then stick your foot in your mouth at first opportunity, every time...

Even after being probed to provide ANY details or proof he's not a class act, you ignored the question because you couldn't answer it... Sad... Just sad
