JFC what's wrong with having just a LITTLE bit of optimism and hope? For chrissake this entire franchise is doom and gloom nonstop, what's the harm in feeling good about the fact that Rodgers still has it and trying to look at some bright spots? The defense is a problem and that's gotta be addressed, but if it does there's a lot to feel hopeful about with this team.

Beehive of a venue? San Francisco (Santa Clara)? They got pushed around all over the field. They looked unprepared, and didn't adjust to seemingly anything. Their lineman were getting off the ball and getting downfield or out on the edges and just laying people out. . The Jet backers didn't get a hand on the ballcarrier until he was four or five yards downfield. Then long lob throws over the gentle caress of that soft zone they were playing. What a joke. Then BT was saying he thought Rodgers would have gone for 250 if the time of possession wasn't so skewed. But it was skewed! That's the point, and the thing that is most concerning and infuriating. It's the same talk the last couple of years about the defense. "If they had even an average QB this defense would be damn near pitching shutouts." But they didn't have an average QB. This team is so poorly coached it's laughable. They're the only team that can't sign its players, and the only team for which the six sideline reporters can't figure out why Sauce wasn't out there. No one knows with this team. They may still win 10 games if they can stay relatively healthy and these "weak" teams on their schedule live up to their billing. But they're not going to beat anyone that has a clue out there, and last night was an exclamation point to that effect. A layup on Thursday night against New England? Can the Jets have one winning season before you start penciling in wins? A true Jet fan should tighten up the sphincter this week against Tennessee and hope they squeak out a win 13-11.

Not shocking that tierney is slurping rodgers. What does a star mean? That he will throw for over 4,000 yards and over 30 tds? I have my doubts. Tierney is delusional. They’re the 3rd best team in the division.
What indicates that the Jets Offense is going to be good ? They meekly were throttled by the 9ers. Getting beat by a good team is one thing, but basically they scored 1 meaningful TD and got scored on 8 times in a row. Maybe they will play better this week, but game 1 provides little evidence of how good they are.

Hard take.... Zach Wilson had several competent drives....but no consistency. What frustrates most NYJ fans last night...is the lack of offensive consistency. Yeah....the defense was not good...but under Rodgers, I think most people were expecting more offense. A final score of 37 - 33....would have been a more acceptable loss....especially if the teams were trading scores.
If the Jets made their stops when they were supposed to then Rodgers would’ve gotten more time with the ball and we would’ve seen more of him. I actually saw something that I haven’t seen in damn near a decade, a first quarter TD - I think we’ll be alright.
