Listen, this little reality check is exactly what’s gonna get them back on track & keep their eyes on the goal. After beating up on the Commanders, it’s good they got humbled a bit today-it shows there’s still work to be done. #KeepTheMainThingTheMainThing
From what I understand one of our RBs got called down when he shouldn’t have (would have been a TD) and then the play after the ball goes off Lazards hands and gets picked
That's what practice is for, to get beat and work on your game and get ready for the regular season. Sometimes having an off day works for you in the long run. Am I strong enough? Am I fast enough? What did I do wrong on that last play? This is what practice is for, to work that out.
I wouldn’t bash Clems, he stuck around this long and remember he was a mid round pick. The staff is developing him they have a vision they see what we don’t see
Inconsistency is worse than being bad because you have more opportunity to let the team down and create critical errors like that. Players that are bad, don’t get on the field or make the roster. They can’t count on Lazard. Period.
Clemons looks like a quality edge setter to me, but without any potential for growth to invest in. I see no sparks. So if he's forced to play he brings some security but limitations. Huff and Johnson would have been a quality team worthy of the Jets Defense reputation. I don't think we realize how good Johnson is. I don't think Jermaine even knows how good he is. He could afford to be less cautious and develop even faster. He's freaking good at everything. I think Reddick is a little over-rated overall because of the up-side razzle dazzle but given his nascent decline and McDonald's potential... If McDonald could just make a bit of a precocious jump, Reddick could become a non-issue. But that's a big IF. I would much rather have Reddick on the field and guarantee at least an above-average edge team but I'll bet you anything Saleh and Douglas are seeing this picture I've painted with optimism; likely too much optimism given a lot of their decisions, and thus we'll never see Reddick. Losing Huff is likely to go down as a bad impact in the long run. I don't understand why it happened. Was it financial? I don't know shit about the finances. This is just my perception as I recall. My DAZN account is still on pause for $$ reasons so I can't review any games right now. Matt has earned my trust. He's a well-grounded and honest reporter so I am essentially pro-Reddick for now! EXCITING DAYS AHEAD!!!
I’m confident that this team will be ready for the regular season. There’s alot of new players and especially some groups like offensive line are going to take time to gel and develop chemistry, so these bumps in the road are to be expected
Allen Lazard will so blatantly cost us a win this year. It sucks that he’s in a role of importance because his Daddy apparently is going to continue feeding him the ball.
From what i saw tuesday there are a lot of positive signs. My big concern is the o line and coordination , I dont like the mix and match o line. I realize they are evaluating but they need to jell, snd i have little faith in carter. Saleh and discipline is a joke. It is one thing to be fired up but mindiess stupidity is another. Saleh still reminds me of Henry Winkler in The Waterboy. I dont really understand why ppl are surprised at Lazard. He was the same at Green Bay, he was all over the place there, and thanks to JD brilliance we have him next year too
I like this. It’s the panthers, they should do better and they knew it. They were pissed off. It’s the preseason so there will be no real consequences. Who cares.
