I myself am not a big Jett fan , but cannot deny the fluid smooth riding 😎 he is able to maintain !!! I have been racing since 1977 and spun my share of laps here and never have seen it done so efficiently, I was pulling for CS23 , it sure is evident that JL has plenty left in the tank!!! Thanks Matt for sharing this day with everyone 😀 it was a beautiful day there , sometime in your schedule meadow valley mx is minutes from Millville and we usually spend 2 full days practicing there , would be awesome if you were able to join us !!!! What's not to like about him? Is it cause he is Australian.... He is polite , good with the Media... great on the bike...Or would you him rather be like Villipotto who always takes to the media like he had a carrot up his arse.....
It's like he sees the track differently than everyone else. I love how he turns braking bumps into doubles etc. Just really beautiful to watch. Im a Tomac fan for sure, but I actually think Jett would have him covered most days. Just so fluid and efficient.
@@mattburkeen820 I just knew that when Jett won the MXofN in his class on his first 450 ride, it would not be a easy national series for the rest. What Jett is doing can only happen in sports/games based on the individual, (not team sports). He is like the 1972 world chess champion from the USA. He beat all of communism in russia, (who dominated the game, trying to prove that communism is superior intellect, sadly like in our schools today.). He put in the time/study. Then he developed his own game, and smoked all of communism with ease as a self taught individual. Then he went a bit nuts, but that is a different story with different reasons. I want to do that with our politics, just go in, smoke them and get our liberty back.

This Kid is honestly making it look easy, He has already won so many Championships and has so much more in the Tank, An to think he is only 19 years of age, He's not even in his Prime yet and got like 10 to 15 years depending on what he chooses to do and keeps fit an ancient free, But Jett has taken Supercross and Motocross by the Balls, This Kid is going to break every record and some!!

Absolutely amazing....Jetson is a MX prodigy once in a hundred year rider..it just comes to hem..he's only going 70% and smoking everyone he not tired..hes easy on the red bike all the mechanics have to do is spray it off between each Moto and gas it up...they must be stoked..there's never been a rider like hem before..the race from now on is for second place...he will be even more dominant when supercross comes around..👍👍👍 the only person that could mabe keep up with hem for a few laps is his Big sister Hunter..😂🤣😂
As someone from Wales/the UK, this is the one AMA national track I'd love to race on! Dirt looks perfectly ripped, not too deep :D and big hills Reminds me of a soft dirt foxhills 😊
As somebody who raced Red Bud when it was clay, and scared me in my racing prime, (I hated hard ground), I can say all the national tracks today look like more fun Vet tracks that I would like to ride at the age of 60, and nowhere near my prime. :)
@@EarthSurferUSA Should come try our tracks the dirt is made up of mostly a mix of slag, slate, bedrock, and a bit of clay hahaha (my dad still blames me for roosting him and a rock shattering his finger oops) The tracks in wales are stupid fast because the ground is so hard but we don't have many anyway. the clay/riverbed sand tracks around west england that I usually race on are much more like your tracks over there thankfully lol but they don't have as steep hills like wales or here at millville 60 should your prime years for the most fun!! my dad's been getting back racing at 55 after having a neck/spinal reconstruction (2 slipped discs) As long as you're having a good time and not pushing it all the strength to you my friend!
The only thing that will beat jett will be jett if he crashes out but if he stays upright I cant see any1 beating him would love to see him battle more

I see Jett as rewriting some cornering tradition. In many corners with ruts, I have noticed he will stay standing up past the apex, and not sit down until he is exiting the corner, (instead of sitting down just before the apex). James invented the "Bubba Scrub". Jett looks to be inventing the "Insert new name here". I don't know what to call it.
Jets hardest track coming up at Washougal he doesn’t like it with all the shadows from all the trees 🌲 if he goes 1/1 there he’s going to be hard to beat the last 3 races. Competition is lite this year but there’s still some really good riders Jet is just way better we all got rob with Tomac getting hurt!!!!!!
They need to put a 10 second yellow board out for the Lappers so they move to the far left until the leaders pass. Lappers times based 15 offset from the fastest lap time to make way for jett and the top 10 to charge. Mad video jett rips!
It is the job of the leaders to get around a lapper, and the safest way to do that, (an not slow the lapper down because he is racing too.), is for the guy being lapped to just hold his line. It happens often, that if a lapper moves off his line to let a leader go by, they move into the path of the leader. I was told that by a racing friend in 84, and it worked great for my very first race, because my only speed was the holeshot I got. How much experience do you have with what you are talking about?
He has found something with how he rides the bike, i imagine theres people at every other factory team breaking down every frame of video of these motos to see what it is in Jetts riding style or his supsension behavior is allowing him to make everybody else look like they are riding on flat tires
@@mattburkeen820 Jett and Chase are real close in time for many laps, but Jett can put a burner lap in and gap like nobody else has been able to do. I only watch the live lap times, and in the first 15 min qualifying session, Jett just pumps out a lap about 4 seconds faster than the next fastest, (next 5 fastest almost the same time). Unless Jett has a mishap, I think Chase needs to be able to do that to beat the kid this series. I "almost" know Jett can not do that for many laps. :)
If a 2-stroke bike builder paid out 5 grand to anybody who can quality for each time they qualify on a 2-stroke, do you think some riders would switch? Note, the more who switched, the more would qualify. That could be 60 grand for the series.
Its impressive how he makes everything look like he is only going at like 50%. Would like to see him have to work through the field just to see him push
@@mattburkeen820 I think I may know what will make it easier, like what some have done in the past like JMB or Lechien. Those guys did not like to train much off the bike. When we get tired, we hit the gym, or run, cycle, off the bike training. But what those guys did when they got tired, is find a way to ride and not get tired, so smoothness and speed were the result. I was doing it all wrong!!! :) (and I can't stand Robb Beams)
The Euro style in D. Thorp's prime was all but dead to the new American style,--which is dead today. Today, it is a more forward style, with ape hanger handle bars and level levers that both advocate low elbows, (especially when getting on the gas, no re-grip anymore), and more rear sag to offset the more forward position. They go fast, but I see crashes today that are associated with the new style and set up, especially with Chase.
I see, you decided to not qualify again because the last "How not to qualify"-Video got so many views (OK, not really...) and you wanted to be able to show us another one. These long uphills really are no joke against a 450. Bad thing is, there is another one in Washougal.
I don't, at least not for a series. Eli might be able to match him, but Eli (and most top USA racers), tends to get dejected. It was not often on the Yamaha, but he would crash or get a bad start, get dejected, and ride around 2 seconds slower than he was earlier that day. I say tracks that keep everybody the same speed kills the spirit of the most talented, or tends to. Jett has the American spirit we had 2 MX generations ago.
@@mattburkeen820 Why? He's so far ahead in the points, less chance of getting hurt. It's a shortcut for him, I guess gone are the times of being 1 minute ahead of everyone. I mean would you rather win by 1 minute and be exhausted, totally drained, or win and be tired, but not exhausted. Esp after southwick.
you can call me biast because im aussie but in my eyes there is absolutely no one that comes close to his talent, yeah theres sexton but jett looks like hes not trying its seems that simpple for him, and there hasent beeen a rider quite like it for a very long time prrobably since ricky and stewart. if he stays injury free no one is going to beat him. has anyone gone 14-0 first yr on 450s before?
his talent is his strenght to be able to ride the way he does he keeps front end light all the time that takes lot strenght i say he using with his talent using drugs
As long as people make money morally (and these guys do), It is none of our business how much it is. I think it is refreshing (and I thought it was impossible today), to see an individual be great in MX again. I hate it when so many guys are so close in speed. It tells me the track does not separate the talent very well, and I was wrong to doubt some individual could still be great.
