We have the 1.4 twincharged 160hp version in my country we can't go to that speed because of poor road infrastructure will damage our suspension but overall its a great sedan. Great power, great on fuel consumption, servicing a bit costly.
normally i dont do such too. it was just for purpose of the video. but i recommend this car in general. it is very nice overall and delivers a lot for its price.
Bought daughter one last year. Cool little car and feel pretty quick on acceleration, but feels a little cheap on the inside (Seat adjust, power mirrors and other switches). Actually more roomy than the BMW 335 I drive, but obviously not as much acceleration. But hey, for high school graduation car and a step up from her previous three, she loves it just fine and pampers it, so I am satisfied.
It's a Jetta after all. But for a so called lower end vehicle it's pretty well done compared to some Japanese and Korean brands. And those things can take a load on the engine. Corollas might get the glory, but they would fall a part in no time at speeds like this. That's of course if driven like that on a regular basis.
May I know about DSG issue i heard people talking about but never got chance to ask any WV owner? did you or anyone around you get any problem with DSG?
yes, people are talking. but i know also people who drive 5 years and nth happened. my jetta i just did 5k so no much experience, but so far not a single issue. anyway vw gives you 5 years warranty, so you shouldnt really bother too much. even if smth is wrong they will replace. just dont expect mercedes quality, because it is just vw. if you understand it, you will never be disappointed. come join our fb group, there are many posts about quality, real issues and urban legend issues there so you can see for yourself. as for performance i find this gearbox very nice. it is smart and fast.
Or wait for 2018 redesigned jetta. In north america, the 2017 Jetta is the same as 2015-16, but with LED day time headlights standard and a bunch of other stuffs that come standard. If you want the most out of the current generation Jetta, 2017 is a pretty good deal, but if you want the newest, I would wait for 2018
85 KW 2016 Non-TSI 2.0 here. Very efficient engine petrol and auto-gas injection 5-speed manual. 800 km with both tanks. If you drive like that in my country the police will take your car. Yesterday a guy went on the Sofia transit road with 250 km/h. They took his car and gave him 7K BGN fine. :D
Na verdade o video pode tbm ter sido editado... Contudo saindo deste merito, esse carro ele é economico em velocidades de 120 km a 140 km a média é muito boa de boas 14 por litro na estrada!!!
love it, would never be able to drive this fast in my country unless I find a race track or a long runway. How was the handling beyond 170? I have done 170 before, the steering wheel started to shake slightly. I can't imagine how 230 would be like in my car
larry sciacca yes, some people have reported that a simple stage 1 remap of the ecu will increase horsepower by 15 to 20 and increase torque by 25 to 35. However, you mpg will lower.
3300 km - 3284 km = 16km jetta fuel tank standart = 55 lt fuel indicator 16 line 1 line over 55/16=3.44 lt 16km=3,44 lt 100/16=6.25 X 3.44 =21.5 lt the end :) 100km/21.5 lt :)
THE CAR IS STILL IN BREAK IN PERIOD!!!! Your car has only 3000KM on it. Damage to engine from straining it that hard with so little mileage is possible that's why this isn't recommended. Then again though, these VW Engines and Transmissions are pretty bullet proof. I personally own the 2015 Jetta 1.8TSI with 170bhp here in Canada and love every second of driving it. I've put it flat to the floor at least 5 times since owning it but I did that only after first oil change at 8k km.
Somewhere in Malaysia, terribly fast and steady, especially on the pickup phase. My Polo can only go up to 160km/hr, more than that will be like Alladin's carpet
Incorrect, this is a single turbo and is not equipped with a DSG tramsmission, assuming from the description that this is a 1.4t Jetta S. However, this transmission has been getting great reveiws. The GLI is the only Jetta with a DSG. The GLI is also a single turbo.
VW Maaadmaad you are mistaken. Outside of the US there is a 1.4 twincharged engine with both a turbo and a supercharger and it comes mated to a DSG transmission. The TDIs in the US that came in the mkv and MKVI were mated to a DSG as well, as well as the 3.6 VR6 in the Passat. However I was not sure if the MKVI Jetta came in this combo.
@@yak47hm great! So, I came across this video while searching for the car because i am considering buying it. Speed aside, how is it living with on a day-to-day basis: space, comfort, consumption? Service and maintenance costs?? etc
Nice topend...you're doing that with a stock setup ie the 1.4cc turbo, factory spec, no mods? I've seen many run, even in S mode & topped out under 200 (hyundai elantras & new honda civics giving them heat also)...if so hook me up with those Malaysian spec motors or any mods you know that could get to 260kmp...keep making those vids (y)
yes it is 100% stock car. for info about mods please join facebook.com/groups/JettaMsia/ there are plenty of members doing ecu remaps and they can do 250+
Amazing. You hit 147mph. What kind of tires did you have on that car? The stock T-rated tires are good for 112mph (190km/h). You would need V-rated tires to safely drive at 236km/h.
Normaldir, tek çizgi düşüyor yani 3,5 litre fln yapar. Gittiği yolu hesaplarsak videonun başından sonuna 25 km. Bunu 4 ile çarparak 100 kmdd 14 litre yakmış oluyor. Yüksek devirlerde normaldir. 👍😊
I notice the car goes beyond red line . Theres no cut off. Maybe it had power upgrade. Good performance for a 1.4 but the engine, gearbox may not last.
so funny all this indian youtubers. they come, they say it is fake, i always ask why, but they never reply back. do they have some weaker version of jetta in india or how?
Smok Wawelski unfortunately we had the mk5 1.9 tdi which had only 100bhp and was a 5 speed manual and that is what people relate the jetta to. We never had tsi engines until fairly recently in entry level vags.
@@ankitkak2012 thanks for reply. I face lots of comments accusing me of cheating here (most sich comments I delete), all of them from India and I was really puzzled why.
Smok Wawelski its alright... Its purely because here we have the same cars but different engines and stuff... So its nothing personal... They say what they've experienced also they dont know that its different out there... Its alright man
