i dont know how one thing relates to the other. they have done nothing but praise her for ability on the piano and on the violin and have brought more visibility too. If it wasn't for twoset i wouldnt even be listening to classial music, much less acknowledging who and how much of an amazing musician she is.

I think the nickname "Sophie oui oui" came from the rhyme with the French "je suis" in the omnipresent French sentence "oui oui, je suis", which means "Yes, I am". Maybe Brett and Eddy had that sentence in mind when they met her and started calling her friendly "Sophie oui oui". That's my theory, but I may be wrong.

Ist halt Wiener Dialekt. Ist quasi das gleiche wie München und bayrisch. Auch für hochdeutsche gut zu verstehen weil nicht so sehr abweichend.

@@jagutichsachma Nein, ist nicht Wiener Dialekt. Also, das vielleicht auch, aber sicher nicht in diesem Video (hör dir einmal wirklichen Wiener Dialekt an, das ist ganz anders). Deutsch (wie Englisch übrigens auch) ist eine plurozentrische Sprache. So wie US-Englisch kein "US-Dialekt vom Britischen" ist, gibt es neben dem Hochdeutsch in Deutschland auch das Hochdeutsch in Österreich, die unterscheiden sich halt ein bisschen voneinander. Und diese beiden Arten von Hochdeutsch haben dann Dialekte bzw. die allerwenigsten Leute sprechen wirklich reines Hochdeutsch (weder in Österreich noch in Deutschland). Sophie hat ein bisschen einen Wiener Akzent, aber zumindest in diesem Video spricht sie (vermutlich absichtlich) recht nahe am Österreichischen Hochdeutsch.

@@lia1b652 xD which Chopin waltz are you learning? I'm currently learning the A Minor Waltz op 34 no 2. I've also played 3 other Chopin waltzes(not quite up to perfection though) but don't worry, take your time and it will feel really good once you get it down. I'm a slow learner too :D

Sophie is from Austria; (most) Austrians speak German differently from their northers neighbours. In short, to the English trained ears, Austrians appear to speak softer and mellower because they tend to extend most vowels and silence the transition with consonants.They also pronounce some vowel combinations differently, with mellower results. Therefore it was possible for Austrian Mozart to compose an opera in Italian style but sung in German, something Wagner born in Leipzig in Saxonia could not do in a million years!

@@yibingwang7613 No, she's Austrian, she speaks Austrian German (think of Germany's and Austria's German like you'd think of American and British English), which does sound a bit different from what a young lady from Germany would sound like.

She's a professional violinist and pianist at the same time. She plays violin concertos with the symphony orchestras and she also plays piano concertos

@Richard Wagner If you're going to put people down, could you at least try to be constructive in your criticism? What specifically is bad about her playing and compositions? Putting people down without reason comes across as bitter, not tough. Not trying to attack you specifically, just making a general statement about these kinds of comments. "There will be a bad wake up one day" doesn't seem very accurate either. Every musician knows how tough it is to make it in the industry. Few expect to be great. They choose that path because they love it. Sophie isn't going to wake up one day and realize she isn't going to be the next Perlman; she already knows that. "I feel sorry for her" is therefore inconsistent as well. There is nothing pitiful about pursuing what you love even if you are never great. After all, most people hate what they do and never become great at it either. I for one wish I pursued my passion, even if I was mediocre at it. I envy Sophie.
