Video filmed onboard the Jewel of the Seas in June 2023. Full tour of the common areas of the ship, and some helpful hints for your cruise onboard her.
Thanks for your compliment, and thanks even more for the correction. Cantilevered was definitely not the correct word choice - not even close! Those pool tables are amazing!
Very cool! We've been on the Jewel twice, a 7-day Caribbean cruise around 2007ish, and we did a 12-night Scandinavian cruise for our honeymoon in 2010. Haven't been on it since, but have wonderful memories of Jewel, and I'm glad to see it's still around!
Thanks!!! I always research when I am going on a cruise, so I decided to start making these myself to tell people the things I would want to know. I appreciate you taking the time to comment.
I really enjoy your video style! I'm heading out on a 10-night solo Fall Foliage cruise in a few weeks purely to up the family's C&A points by 20 for relatively cheap. Getting an inside stateroom for the first time, so we'll see how that goes. Better to do it solo, I'd say. Anyway, looking forward to trying out a smaller ship and beautiful scenery!
Thanks for the compliment. I hope you enjoy the fall foliage. Good idea to do solo for the double points. And I would think interior solo would not be too bad. Those C&A points are great. We are at diamond, and the benefits are nice. I really appreciate the drink vouchers they give at diamond.
@@shirleysjourneys9505 We'll be at sapphire after my cruise and diamond after 2 back-to-back 7-night Mediterranean cruises next summer. On that one, we'll be in the panoramic ocean view suite on the Voyager. We love that suite. So much space and the best views!
Thanks for your video. After watching I probably will cancel my cruise on this ship. After only sailing on Royal Oasis class ships this one looks like a sit and knit ship, way too small and boring . On and 8;day cruise I believe I will go stir crazy. Way too many bars and nothing areas. I believe the ship was designed and built before cruising became fun. My first cruise was on the Canard Princess that had a much better layout.
I also love Royal's Oasis class ships. You might also want to try a Quantum Class ships. They have a different layout than the Oasis class ships but lots to do onboard. Royal's older, smaller ships are great for getting into destinations where the large ships cannot go. Most of the time, they sail in port intensive itineraries. We spend all day in port and by the time we get back onboard, we eat dinner and maybe a show before hitting the bed to wake for another early port day. Oasis and Quantum Class ships are a destination in themselves.
@@terrymorgan1623 Really? Would love to hear why. We are booked for a fall foliage cruise in September and after having recently been on the Oasis and Wonder twice, I'm worried that I will not like this ship since it has a build date of 2004.. This is why I'm watching this video, to see if I should just cancel it...Would love to hear why you love the Jewel.
The outdoor promenade deck on the forward, starboard side and there is a section of the Lido deck as well. The casino will possibly have a smoking section, too, based on where you are sailing from, so that will carry over to the ship.
