Been a fan since the 90s and finally got to see her live last year. I thought she was amazing always but in person is a whole other level! This was such a subdued version as she said she was going to do before hand. I like it. She definitely held back so much of her power that she truly has.
I’ve been a fan since her debut too. And yes she can definitely go harder than this. But this was simply beautiful and just right. One day I’ll get to see her live.
@@tarareads23 I’ll tell you, live is a whole new appreciation . Hate I waited as long as I did but oh well. Her talent is soooo underrated. And yes you are right ; she did an amazing job
I have been extremely passionate about the United States since I was a child, although I was not born in the United States, my pride and patriotism has always come from there, I would love to have been born in this land, and the part of the anthem that moves me the most and fills my heart with love for this country is "Oh say the star studded flag still tremling" 🇺🇸 I've been following the NFL since 2008, I didn't have the honor of seeing the national anthem that Whitney Houston sang, but I managed to see the one that Chris Staplenton, and I confess that I cried a lot, for an inexplicable feeling for this country ❤️🇺🇸
Is this what everyone is complaining about? It's beautiful, and its original without losing either the music or words of the one we usually hear. I wish this were the official version.
Damn it was a very creative and original performance but the stupid audio is messed up It's really interesting how versatile the US anthem is. In the Superbowl he made an emotional passionate take. Right here she made a sweet welcoming and warm rendition that's very charming hopeful and joyful Most of the time maybe because of Whitney Houston they go for the virtuoso brilliantly skillful and super hype adrenaline rush towards a big crescendo in the final part

@Michelle And on the 3rd day, my lord and savior Jewel rose to defeat mainstream radio and save our souls from shallow pop. She will come again to judge the living and the dead. Amen.
Jewel and Chris Stapleton's renditions may be my most favorite of ALL TIME. Such a down to earth and beautiful rendition of our nation and a great representation. Something speaks to the American Folk in me.
What a beautiful rendition! In years past you would see the whole audience with their hand over their heart when this was sung to honor our flag, anthem, and country in a wonderful unity. It's sad that is no longer the case.
One of the greatest voices in the world Singing one of the greatest song in the world Thank you Miss Jewel Thank you America Thank you to the men and women's that protects and uphold our American We love you you are very very special 🇺🇸🗽🗽🗽⚖️❤️🇺🇸🇺🇸🗽🗽🗽⚖️❤️❤️🇺🇸🇺🇸
I had to come here to listen because of all the articles bashing her performance 🙄 I think it was lovely. I was expecting a version totally changed up, she just sang it in her style, but it didn’t sound like a different song 🤷🏼♀️ This world is nuts
Im sorry i have no hate towards this lady and im sure she tried her best but i was not feeling this national anthem at all. There was no chills no goosebumps i wasn't moved by her voice it was just...bad
I know I'm gonna get a lot of flack for this, but I've always thought the national anthem was an ugly song.I love her rendition of the song it's a lot more pleasant and easy on the ears.
