Its really quite a privilege to be able to get to know ones teachers. It is very subtle, but there is something that assists the process of learning , by better understanding the source of the teaching. In other words, by hearing about you and who you are and how you think about things, helps the information that you are providing to be digested (so to speak). Hope that doesn't sound to wacky, but having just found this amazing passion for jewellery making in my 60's, my little brain neurons are firing all over the place. Cheers Basia for your amazing work. And Cheers Megan for introducing you to me. Megan is super amazing as well.

Glad to see a new vlog! What about having your customer chose if they want a free gift with their order. Something like… Dear customer, I like to give a little something extra to you with your order. Let me know your preference. Then you have a choice between the three things you offer along with a choice to say no thank you to the gift. I am one of those people who prefers to not receive the extras. I don’t want the waste. I try to cut down on extra things in my life. It is a more sustainable choice for me. I hope this makes sense.

I never expect anything to be included when I purchase but what I don’t really like is getting loads of different cards that I then have to recycle or anything plastic. That being said some little pieces of anti-tarnish paper that you use would be useful to people to put in their jewellery boxes. This video was really great. I love getting updates on how you are doing, and your recent ones have also been really enlightening and entertaining. Thank you for sharing all of this with us!

I completely agree with you. For my new packaging I want to create a lovely card that will be an artwork on one side and on the other side I will list care instructions for reference and contact details. I also want to include a polishing cloth and a little jewelry pouch to store and protect the piece. As for other little bits, an occasional tea or sticker may happen, but I will limit the amount of things I send to keep it simple 💜 Thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts! 🙏

Loved your video. Thankyou for making it. Really enjoy seeing your studio and the tools and equipment you have. It's like an Aladdin's Cave! The desk is Brilliant; I really must get one. Like your necklace too. I refer long videos and hate the shorts that people do. I like "getting into the zone" sort of thing which you don't get with shorts cos they are too fleeting and flash past. But I'm old school and like to focus and concentrate and relax. Anyhow, great ideas and advice you give us. Looking forward to your next videos. :)

Hi there, love your videos! I stepped away from my bench bc I'm now realizing the frustration I was feeling from not having good tools or anyone to learn from. I'm getting so many awesome tips & tricks from you so thank you!! In terms of packaging things I value are the use of sustainable packing materials, a cute handwritten note, and not a whole lot of extras that will just end up in the trash. I love the idea of including tea! And a small polishing cloth too. I include a jewelry care card with each order that also doubles as my thank you note on the back. 💗

4:28 just watching this today and remembered a video when you built your shelves, you had a drill, so why not find yourself a nice piece of wood and then get a drill bit the size of the shafts of your attachments and then make the “attachment” storage to what you need by drilling holes in the wood. A right angle corner tool will help you keep the drill straight for drilling so the hole is completely straight, or maybe you know someone with a drill press to make it quicker and easier, but it should be easy to achieve yourself and be exactly what you need, and probably cost a lot less too 😊😊😊

Hey Basia, really enjoyed this vlog. I have missed your vlogs and sometimes go back to your old videos to re-watch them because I find them so cosy and nice. Your studio looks amazing!!! I know not long ago you did a tour but it would be great to see an updated one. In terms of packaging, I prefer to receive minimal amounts of paper. I read in one of your responses to a comment that you are thinking of doing a card with artwork on one side which I think is great because then the customer can keep it and put it up on their wall or something and it won't go to waste. I don't like to receive anything edible as I eat quite a strict diet and then I have to find someone to give it to lol. I package my jewellery orders in a pouch wrapped in tissue paper rather than a box because the pouch keeps the jewellery safe and is more likely to be kept long term rather than going in the bin. I sometimes have a dilemma about whether my packaging looks professional enough without a box but at the end of the day, a big part of my brand is being more environmentally friendly so I can't bring myself to use extra cardboard. I love trees too much for that.

It's great to see a vlog again, yay! Basia, I had the same problem with attachments flying out all over the place, so I made my own blocks. You can get clean rectangular pieces of light pine (or other wood) and just drill holes wherever you need/want. They are great. Great video! Perfect length for a holiday morning. If I were to order jewelry I would appreciate a handmade note (although, I also have an unreasonable love of stationery, so take that with a grain of salt), a handsome and sturdy box to store it in, as well as something useful. Perhaps a little polishing cloth, tiny charm or the like. Anything more will have diminishing returns and likely not be worth the effort and cost on your part. That's my two cents.

So, longer films, up to 30 min, seem most popular, or was that 3 hours? So many have liked your view around the work area, yet another in-depth tour of your workspace? With information on each toy, sorry tool? Have you noticed 1 day online, and this video has 1.6 thousand views already, plus 72 comments. Hiya Lady Stardust, Thank you for this thought-provoking film. Okay, last first; LONGER!!! IS MUCH BETTER!!! We can learn much more when your video is LONGER, which is why I started watching your channel. Do you think I have hinted enough? As I'm a visual learner, longer videos help me stay focused on your work, but when you narrate what you are doing, that also benefits my understanding. Think back to university, dear lady, or even school. Did the lecturer's talking help you? You have a very relaxing voice that also helps. Some of the creators on here have quite strident or sharp voices, and I have to try to tune that out as it winds me up, which means I tune out the message too. Silly, but that's how my brain works or doesn't work? I must confess you are also a beautiful lady, and watching you work/talk is no hardship, hehehe. But as I'm here to learn from you and also learn the tips & tricks you find and share, that is secondary. My main point is that we, your viewers, learn a lot from you. You are an excellent teacher; it helps how enthusiastic you are about your subject. Now, you're going in reverse; yes, please! Please re-introduce your excellent Koi, Mantas and butterflies too. They seemed, from our side, to sell well, and anything that helps your growth is good for you and, therefore, the long term, us too. Much as I want to, I can't give you a million dollars yet; wait till I win the lottery, though... So, until then, I will help in any way I can. I love your spoon rings; the ease with which you seem to make them is an inspiration for us to try, that is, if there are any left in the street. So like you to find one just like that to show us exactly what you mean. I plan to set my ultrasonic and bench lathe up soon, although it will be a cardboard box catching the rubbish off my wheels. Apart from making tea, I can not think of any action you've shared that has not helped and influenced my work? Okay, hair dying, maybe? A newsletter? Yes, please. Keeping up to date would be fantastic; what changes can you mean? Adding a second room, maybe? For melting down scrap to repurpose it? Using the Smiths mini torch? I want to use mine, too, but I have a stronger butane one from Cooksons that does a wonderful job. Did I mention that Argentium seems to have a higher melting point for its solder than 925? I started using 935 Argentium then suppliers, like Cookies and The Argentium Guild, started selling 940, which is said to be even brighter and less prone to tarnish. Due to even less copper. Can you get Argentium in Poland? So far, I've only found limited things available, plate and wire, but no findings, but the finish is perfect, well as close as I'll get anyway, hehehe. Is this long enough for you? Have a wonderful New Year with Jarek and your family. I'm so happy you are back on form again; I've missed you. Stay safe, Steve xxx.
