Wow, I love the way she respected herself and her grands (giving them something for their ears). Respect to this woman for her bravery of sharing her story.
This hurts real bad..I was diagnosed with liver cancer in 2019 with 6 months to a year life expectancy..its now 2022 im still here..LOOK AT GOD..RIP JEWELL QUEEN OF THE WEST COAST
@@JamesThomas-pv5en Thank You James..im using a new treatment IMMUNE THERAPY..im struggling a lil bit bcuz of my hip..it metastasized in 4 places and I had 7 surgeries in 3 yrs but I feel strong and good..thats God..😁💪
The fact that you respected her wishes and posted this video after her death shows your Amazing Character. Salute to you! Rest In Peace Queen! I know you are singing with the Angels.
What other choice did this human have though? True talk. If he played it before her death, that would be the death of his channel. He definitely couldn’t further be trusted. Real talk though, what would you expect any human to do in a situation like this? It was thee only thing to do. Commendable, Yes, but it’s what any person is supposed to do.
A million dollars...All the work she put in and the hit songs she featured on and no one could give her a million dollars???That shit breaks my heart 💔 R.I.P JEWELL
They didn't know she needed 1million dollars. This video was posted AFTER her death. She even said her children didn't know she was dying so how would anyone else know
Its bullshit how health care companies put a price tag on life or death. $1mill is insane for that procedure. These health companies will separate siamese twins for free as long as it gets publicity for the company and the doctors. RIP Jewell.
You know what’s the most Fkd up about this.. is that, she said she needed a million dollars for a double lung transplant.. she made history for the first dre and snoop records and either one alone of them could’ve gave her or even loaned her a mil.. regardless of what kind of terms they were on good or bad, they all came up together. That’s why I don’t get happy at all when I see a hood nga get money cuz of sh1t like this.. RIP Jewell 🙏🏼
Okay I may be ignorant but are you not insured for such drastic procedures? Okay, when you are young you may not know but once you get kids these issues should become something you consider. She does seem like such a sweet, pretty and strong woman to lose too soon. I just knew some songs from back in the day, it is great how you show the person behind the artist. Imho, these interviews are exactly what she intended; something positive to leave us with.
I’ve always enjoyed your jewell interviews. I saw you post this but couldn’t bring myself to watch,I’m watching now, wow it’s heartbreaking… at least I know she’s no longer in pain 🥹❤️ R.I.P Jewell she was a real west coast female legend she’s always been a G!🙏🏽❤️
I’m glad she was able to tell her story before she passed, She didn’t go completely unsung because real fans know the kind of career she could’ve had with the right people behind her.
I met and spoke to Jewell at the Tupac “All Eyez On Me” movie premiere at Westwood in 2017. After we spoke about Tupac and her memories of him she kindly gave me her ticket to watch the movie, and we hugged and took a picture. Man am soo sad to hear that she passed away. I’ll never forget her voice very unique. RIP Jewell 🙌🙌
I found out when I was 33 I was in stage 4 kidney failure and my only 2 options were dialysis and a transplant. I was on dialysis for 4 yrs went through many tests and procedure. My feet kept breaking found out I had charcot foot disease and had weight loss surgery to even get on the transplant list. Once I was accepted to the list I went to another hospital got on their list, they told me I would be on the top of their list due to most backtrack when you started dialysis. I was so happy from May 2019 to when I was called in Sept 22 2019, only 5 months and God blessed me with a kidney. All the praying and keeping my faith and ppl praying for me God showed up and showed out. I'm doing great with my transplant still suffering with my feet but God is so good.... Prayers to Jewell's family & friends know that ppl are praying for them
This has been the toughest Mother’s Day with out my Mom. Who pass last year. This is the first Mother’s Day without her. Miss you mom. Rest in paradise.
RIP Queen. My mother died at 57 from liver cancer. My mom and dad never told me she was dying. The doctor called me at work and said come home now your mother needs you. She had a week at the most. This video lets me know the turmoil she went through. I'm crying my heart out rn.
At least the docs told you something… they didn’t tell me how long I had and had to leave work to see her dead body on the Hospital table! Couldn’t see her because of COVID restrictions when she was alive… but was allowed when she was dead
@@preciousjacob6108 Precious you are right. I had a a wonderful week to care for my mom. I'm so very sorry that you didn't have even that time. So very sorry.
This is humbling and sad. She knew her time was near. Yet in still was thankful for her life and blessings and through her tears, she praised Art for his work to assist others. My condolences to her family during this difficult time.
Art has just surpassed all hip-hop blogs with this interview. How iconic, bro. This woman gave you her testimony and last words before transitioning to a better place. She recognized you for the good dude that you are because you gave her a platform that many didn’t give her. Much props and much continue success bro!
An intentional public dying will would be a first. I’m not quite sure how it would surpass all the interviews and blogs about the currently living though. That would say a lot about society.
I met Jewell when I was about 15. Her mom is a “mother” at my church. She had a beautiful spirit, and it’s nice to watch these videos of her telling her story
I’m showing this to my students tomorrow before class. This is a definition of a dying women understanding the value of a good men. Salute to you queen.
Damn…she really trusted you Art! Salute to you for holding this video and fulfilling her wishes. This is a testament to you. Rest in paradise Jewell ❤️
I’m saying though, the only other option would be to play it before she died. Who would want that negative connotation forever after on there channel/name? Keeping a promise is commendable, true, but what other choice did he have in this situation. Salut though Art for being human, and RIP Jewell.
I love Jewell and always will. She deserved much more than what she was given. She was apart of Hip Hop history. It's a shame social media all of a sudden remembers her after her passing. I'm glad you didn't. I'm glad you gave us this gift of multiple videos of Jewell. She will forever be my favorite R&B singer. I wish she could of been in the super bowl with Dr. Dre as well!! My condolences to her family, friends and close acquaintances. I'm crying hard because her videos lifted my spirits. I love you Jewell.
Nobody could bring a Deathrow story to life like my girl Jewell. Rest in Paradise sis!!!! One of the best that every did it and didn’t get the props she deserved. She had pipes for days and song on some of the best tracks EVER! B
@@williamrothschildakatheman8980 but she was on numerous death row albums. she sung background and hooks for everybody on the label and she did background vocals for bone thugs n harmony
Auntie Jewel 🥹🥹🥹. Thank you Art for covering her before she passed unlike other outlets that wait on artist to die & capitalize on them. Rest easy Auntie Jewel
Now it all makes sense..Man you never know what people have going on..This last month I've watched her on cam smiling seeming so happy not even knowing she was dying..R.i.p Jewel
1 million for the double transplant, I know somewhere, somehow she was owed that. This touch me in so many ways My Mom passed at a very young age of colon cancer. Rest easy 💕
@@mosthi100 some of the interviews I've seen with people who knew them have really left a bad taste in my mouth, dre being a woman beater, snoop tells stories. Bunch of dicks tbh. I was really disappointed with the dre stuff though.
Art this is exclusive footage. Jewell knew her time of departure was at hand and she made sure that you received this exclusive interview. Prayers for the family and Art you’re the man!!
Thanks for narrating what she told us the purpose of the interview was right here in this clip that we all just watched. You just repeated everything she stated as if it’s your original thoughts. This internet has truly made folks even more narcissistic and off cue than ever. RIP Jewell.
@@NoLineNoWait123AbC idk why you even said what you said I wasn’t trying to receive any pats on the back nor bring attention to where none was meant to be had. You went to far in your reply all I was doing was giving respect and paying homage. I thought it was self explanatory but negativity can be found in any positive situation. ✊🏾✊🏾💯
Ahh man 😢.. Rest in Paradise, Jewell! THIS is why you should treat EVERYONE with kindness! You just never know what personal struggles someone is going through.
I cried when I heard the news. I used to see her at church when I was a kid. Always loved her voice and still sing her hooks. I’m glad she never lost herself and stayed true. Rip Jewell ♥️
Thank you Art Of Dialogue for two reasons: 1. For respecting her wishes to refrain from releasing this footage until after she passed, and 2. For your methodical interviewing technique of allowing her to speak uninterrupted. This was more than just ‘good footage’; it was an exercise in grace, style and realism. Much respect y’all. This will go down in history as a “text book clip” for future generations to come. ✌🏽 Chäs
An underrated gem on the West Coast! She had a VERY POWERFUL voice, great personality, and she was not to be played with….which was probably why the record labels on didn’t want to work with her! When you’re a woman with a backbone & can speak up for yourself, you get labeled “problematic”! Rest well Jewell & thank you for your beautiful voice! ☺️♥️♥️😇 #LongLiveJewell
Art was always my dude but this made me respect him more he respected her wishes and didn’t say anything about it this why we get along so well because we have similar hearts and morality much respect art Rip Jewell
I was a teen in the Early 90s and remember so much. Lots of serious talent came out of that decade and Jewell was one of them. The best remake of "Woman To Woman", hands down. Shame she didn't get a chance to show the world how talented she really was, aside from being on Death Row Records. R.I.P. Mama...you were truly one of the bad ones. ♥️ 🙏 Thank you Art for being respectful, period. RESPECT! 😘
Ikr! Instead of these anti-vax nuts start talking about "she got the shot" or the "illuminati" took her out cause she was getting ready to expose the industry! Niggaz are always on something so I appreciate that she was able to record this too!
RIP Jewell a legendary singer in Hip Hop & R&B. As a cancer survivor who also came close to dying, I wish her family good energy. Art those words will surely bring you blessings, those and similar acts is what really matters in this world. Blessing and good energy to you man. 💯💯💯
She’s a legend and her interviews really showed her cool fun personality. She wasn’t one to play with you could tell lol. An amazing voice! Hope she can feel the love ❤
It's heartbreaking to know she's transitioned with the ancestors. Loved her voice and her spirt. When I learned that Snoop had Death Row Records, I was extremely excited, figuring she'd finally get a chance to shine. Such an awesome talent. Thanks Queen. You will certainly be missed. That rendition of "Harvest For the World" is one of my favorite songs ever. Thanks Art, for reaching out to deserving artists, allowing their stories to be told. Her legacy is good moving forward. Rest in Power Beautiful. Thanks for sharing your talent and transparency with us all. Love you.
Powerful!!! No one knew..she carried it so well! Bless you Jewell! I hope RAWHI will flourish, and someone will carry on your legacy. This is a story about a Black woman in a Man's world, who made mistakes, but left something MAJOR for us to learn from. Thank you...Queen. 💜🌻💜🌻💜🌻💜🌻💜🌻💜🌻💜🌻💜🌻💜
Yes indeed Thank you Queen Jewel we the ladies Salute you for your Words of Wisdom and your Honesty and Raw emotions you will be missed but never Forgotten to One of CHICAGO'S FINESSEST.
This hurts because as a recent stage 3 cancer survivor you feel as extra sense of bitterness seeing this. I wish everyone could have the results I did. R.I.P. Jewell
Damn… This was a lot to take in, she was such a strong Woman to be able to talk about how long she had to be here. I’m glad that she had peace with it. No matter who you are, or what you think you have accomplished everyone at some point has to meet the man upstairs. God bless Jewell such a beautiful precious soul. RIP sweetheart!!!
Glad she was on this platform to show her personality. Would have never knew she was so glowing. She a real one for giving you this. She felt close to you to tell you something so personal. R.I.P Queen
R.I.P. to my fellow Chicago Homegirl Jewell. This truly breaks my heart to hear of her passing. She and my homeboy Danny Boy was the underrated sauce talent on Death Row Records! Hopefully you're singing in Heaven w/Pac and the rest. Prayers and Condolences to your family, friends, and fans. 🙏💜😢
Just from following her interviews for the last two years or so I grew to enjoy her energy and her truth. The news of her passing really surprised me. Hopefully she made her peace with the Most High 🙏🏾
Aside from her music, it’s her smile that will live on forever. As someone who was diagnosed with a rare blood cancer in 2019 and lived to “beat it” I’m extremely touched by this interview and what all she’s left behind. Hats off to you Art. Your content is much appreciated.
Crying my eyes out and I didn’t know who she was until these interview. Her strength is beyond admirable. She’s gonna always be watching out for her babies. I hope the community steps up to help take care of her family.
Omg this just cracked my head. 🥺🥺🥺 I can't imagine how the family felt. My wife passed 3 years ago. It's a lonely ass road. Too be so full of life and then to be no more. I went through a tuff time but I prayed and I can smile because I was there till her last breath. To hear a person tell you they love you and it's their last words. Omg
Oh Art! The fact she trusted you with her last words on this Earth is such a blessing. I’m sitting here in tears. May God bless Jewell family. Art continuing blessing us with your wonderful work as well. RIP Jewell🙏🏾🙌🏽
Rest In Peace Ms. JEWELL! Your voice on some of Death Row' most memorable and greatest hits, has left an indelible mark on the minds of millions of people across the globe! DAMN! 😪💗🙏
This was so moving to me... I had to have my heart restarted... I've had two open heart surgeries, two kidney transplants and two strokes... I was also in a rollover crash and in ICU you for a month for that...Just like this Jewell...you can't look at me and tell what I've been through.. I said that to say this... This is the time... it's NEVER too late... If your with a person that makes you Miserable.... get rid of them... If you have family members or so called friends that treat you bad....cut them off....You only have one life to live and whatever time I have left on this Earth I know I don't want to live it in bullshiz and negativity.... Wow! I am choked up.😪 I admired Jewell. Her talent and her beauty. She was the FANCY FLY MRS. of our generation and she still looked beautiful. You couldn't tell that anything was wrong. Those dimples. She could steal the white off of rice. Note: Thank you Art of Dialogue for your professionalism. It's priceless to actually see and hear Jewell explain her health challenges. Her way and in her own words. Thank you! I know that a Jewell is at peace now. This isn't goodbye, but so long.
Listening to her talking bout her new album coming out October 29th. U can tell that she was satisfied & at peace knowing she had a chance to make a different type of album & she let it be known she had no regrets for her past albums & at that time that's what it was. Much respect to her. R.I.P. Jewell
I gotta salute you Art.. for reaching out to these wonderful people and sharing your platform with them to speak their truth. I wouldn’t have known about Jewell if it wasn’t for you. Keep doing your thing and I’m looking forward to your channel growing beyond Death Row & Bad Boy content. R.I.P. Jewell 🙏🏾
This right here made me cry and I am a grown ass man! I don’t even know jewel but I fell in love with her interviews immediately!! Her spirit was so nice. Seeing this I can’t help to feel emotional thank you Art of Dialogue for giving this Queen a platform. She transitioned so young but we Give Thanks for Jewell sharing her heart and soul and she definitely holds a place with one of the greats. Rise In Power Queen.
This is the most amazing interview I have ever seen. I have NEVER seen an interview with someone that was anticipating their own death so confidently. Not even a death row inmate. Nobody! Has been able to bring us inside a person's head like that! Thank you to you and her. This was NOT easy to capture. And then..the discipline..to stick to the script. Pretty amazing I'f you ask me. And TEACHING. RIH Jewell💔❤️💯
I thought we would see so much more of her in the future. I was saddened by her sudden death after watching her tell her stories and truths on your platform. I hope you tell more stories involving the women of Death Row. Rest in Paradise Jewell🕊
All I can say is....Wow! Kudos to you for doing this. Saving this footage until after her death was so honorable. You honored her wishes. God bless you. Rest In Power Jewell. 😢🌹
This was heavy but I can see her strength through all she was going through. Jewel you are in our hearts forever. Not just your beautiful voice and great stories but your strength will inspire and uplift us. Thank you Art for all your work as well good brotha
Damn bro this is so sad but through your interviews we had a chance to really get to know this women and enjoy her spirit and respect and celebrate what she contributed to such iconic songs, thank you for giving her a platform to give us her smile her voice her wit her Wisdom her talent and her faith in god. Life is really never promised😢 RIPJEWELL
Wow! I am just seeing this, well I see it was uploaded today, Mother's Day, 5/8/2022. I am here at 2:54 p.m. It is sad that I had no idea that she passed until my ol man told me yesterday. The death of Kevin Samuels was over shadowing everything. Man, R.I.P. to Jewell, condolences to her family, friends, and fans. With deepest sympathy, sending love from Central Florida :(
If she NEVER said that she was sick, the world would never know! She’s still so beautiful! I’m waiting on that release on October 29th Jewell. Rest in paradise First Lady of Death Row. I’ll NEVER forget your iconic voice and your classy ways.
Rest In Peace. I'm sure her family and friends are in mourning. My heart goes out to them. That said, us as a black community have to began to understand the importance of lifestyle and health. What you intake and do not intake is extremely important. I can't stress this enough. Rest In Peace Jewell
@@tiajones7036 I knew it, I knew someone was going to challenge a positive post and try to turn it into something of their own. I can go on for days about "lifestyle choices" some of which is very evident in this one video alone. However, out of respect I'm going to remain discipline and not open that dialogue. (No pun intended) Enjoy your day. 😁
she is/was extremely strong. to be able to face your own mortality & still smile between the tears, is Angelic strength. shes in Paradise now indeed. this mightve changed your channel forever. she trusted & respected you enough to give her final farewells on your platform. you gotta keep pushin now 💯 shes watchin you just like shes watchin her family
Could not hold back the tears! You don’t have to go to church to get any testimony b/c you can just go outside and look at the person in front of you and everyone will have a gospel of there own. Art I just want to say thank you for bringing her to us! I was so happy to see you bring her on the platform & share her story because she was such a big part of history! The vessel is only temporary but her spirit is for damn sure INFINITE! Her vocals forever ingrained in this thang we call M U S I C !
The testimony that will save your soul in the time of the end is that.of Jesus for it is the Spirit of prophecy. Any gospel will not do. You need the Gospel that Christ spoke. The Living God Who is Infinite do you know Him? For the Lord Jesus says the hour is coming when all those who are in the grave will hear His voice and come out. Some to everlasting life and some to everlasting shame and condemnation. Do you or any of you know that Gospel that will save your soul?
It's crazy how we have the tools to heal, yet everything comes with a cost. Sad, that she wasn't able to get the funds needed to receive her double lung transplant. I just randomly saw her Tiny home episode and she was such a talented woman
This broke me down! Shes was really a staple within West Coast music. RIP Jewell!!! As an Art of Dialogue fan, she really was a one of one. Appreciate all you do as well ART.
Such a classy and beautiful lady, inside and out. I was shocked, when I heard the news the other day. As heartbreaking as it is to know about one’s impending death, I’m glad that she knew, because it gave her an opportunity to set everything right before passing. I used to always say that I wouldn’t want to know that I’m dying, but lady Jewell just showed me the light. Thank you Ms. Jewell, you’re an incredible inspiration, living or dead. For the record, let me say that I never cared about entertainers’ personal lives, but there was something about Jewell that struck me. I couldn’t tell you why; maybe GOD was telling me, that this lady was about to teach me something, so I had to pay attention. Again, thank you Ms. Jewell, and you too, Art of Dialogue. RIP
Man oh man, I'm watching this at 2 in the morning and I'm just broke down in tears, speechless! Jewell you definitely have left a legacy, and GOD knows your heart and your path and to know that you've made so much peace with GOD is comforting to know that HE'S wrapping his arms around you right now and you're using your beautiful voice to sing HIS heavenly praises for all eternity now. GOD bless you and your family, my heart goes out to them. R I.P. Jewell
