In today's episode we're making a silver Russian ring also known as interlinking or trinity rings. These rings can be worn as rings or made to hang on necklaces, and would traditionally be made with white, yellow, and red gold.

Lovely, I will give it a try! Can I know the thickness of the wire you used for this rings? Thanks ❤

Nice video. There is a 21 band rolling ring, is the process the same to make It?

I have never tried it with so many, but the maths should work regardless of how many bands you incorporate. If you try it let us know how it turns out!

So if I understand correctly, you only need to size the rings like you would a single ring? No need to account for the extra thickness of having intertwined rings? Love the pickle breaks by the way! 🔥

Thanks so much for your comment! Size the rings like you would a normal ring and then add to that the thickness of the wire multiplied by the number of rings you’re interlinking. So if your wire is 1mm thick and you want to interlink three rings together you would multiply your 1mm(thickness) by 3(rings) (1x3=3) and add that 3mm to the length of each ring. I hope that makes sense!

@@Cognac_Jewellery_School Totally! so basically let's say I'm a size 7, I'd do ((17.3+1)*3.14)+3 ?

Hi 👋🏼 I just made this ring thanks to your tutorial but I find that the ring fits a little tight 😅 would you recommend going maybe half a size more for this kind of ring? Each one individually fits perfectly. Also, could you share the link of you emery sponges?
@Cognac_Jewellery_School
@Cognac_Jewellery_School Месяц назад
That’s great! Did you follow the equation? If your rings fit individually then they are too small. The equation accounts for the extra ring depth of each ring so individually they should be noticeably too big. Sorry for the super long link! These are the emery sponges: www.amazon.com/320-2500-Sanding-Sandpaper-Furniture-Polishing/dp/B0BF9WSWJ2?crid=1D6QIWFR1P7G&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.lXrxntHUX602T-o9HSpghjKAm3nU55XRdUYkt7iKKRO0qZytNsurimeZAMCieGgIPIgif3ry1RR5YQ1_xgKsoJXr1hSmNnVmNNKzye3cYz_7TW5YpmWTgRtmhMLESG49b0z3LO5ii9oWJo7NPTinqaBI1pzfhibxGUE8c6g9OwaE8pEA3AQu4Rystv8NRww38IJxKTjOdsuUNdFoKy0UY9cgmElekq8BVHRrOsM2kj9xNJhOfDx7GJ8ruVxbESfsXixJbqcC0YjcdgMnSYeBGscDLkRZ09bhUFN_WKir3Mc.Kgskdhj-EJv97S74OFlfKQKzUMYkaxrzd5SeXHQGAUo&dib_tag=se&keywords=sanding+pads&language=en_US&linkCode=ll1&linkId=339d6243dce8067804de570d973d5f8b&psc=1&qid=1718810104&ref_=as_li_ss_tl&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY&sprefix=sanding+pads,aps,221&sr=8-2-spons&tag=cognacjewel01-20

@@Cognac_Jewellery_SchoolRules are rules! lol and you did great work, i often see jewelers use WAY too much solder and it always makes cleanup more difficult. You got it right - the doggie not so much

Haha, thanks so much. I actually really appreciate that - seeing people use way more solder than is necessary is a secret bugbear of mine 🤫 it’s such a waste and makes so much more work!
