Nice i took my watch to a jewelry repair guy and he tried to say it was going to cost 700 bucks to fix i just walked out needless to say i fixed my watch and saved 700 bucks i guess he was trying to pay his rent in one shot by seriously over charging me

Where can you take a class to learn how to weld jewelry?

I'm brand new to working with metal and after attending the Renaissance fair I've decided to give chainmail a shot. I don't want to do anything super elaborate yet of course but would this welder be sufficient at welding individual aluminum jump rings while attached to each other? Obviously I wouldn't be trying to do the whole shirt at once but all the examples I've seen on RU-vid have been for individual rings rather than small segments of chainmail shirts, pants or whatever else?

Yes, it can it be used for broken glasses ... you do not have to use gas, but it is better with gas.

Thank you for the video, but I have a question if you dont mind . Is this machine good to use for resizing (gold and silver rings ) I mean cut a part from the shank and weld it again. Shank thickness between 1.00 to 2.00mm . Thank you again

hello, how do you clean the blackened metal?

The Blackening is just on the surface and is a result of the high temperatures reached during welding. The black is surface and metal contamination, such as dirt and oil, or zinc inside the parent metals. It can simply be wiped off with a cloth. All of our welding systems come with a bush that is designed to remove this blackness quickly and effectively. It can also be taken off with an ultrasonic cleaner, or steamer.

Which color welding wires is used for gold? Either white or yellow? I don't want my Jewellery go black after spot welding... is it possible?

We recommend using a wire that is made of the same material as what you are welding. If you are welding a 14K gold ring, you would use a 14K gold wire. This will help to eliminate any discoloration in the weld site. Blackness is common in welding, and can be simply removed with a fiberglass brush that is provided, or an ultra sonic or steamer will take it off.

I Tout that is shouldn't be touching the work!? Sorry I dont know much, but I have heard that the T.St. should not touch the work, but in this video it seems that you are touching many times!? Is it tru or is it just me with bad eye sights :) Thank's

Yes, to achieve a really clean weld argon gas is absolutely necessary. We recommend you use argon gas with all of our Pulse Arc Welders.

hello ,first of all thank you for sharing this video,i have some question if you do not mind, i repair gold and silver and i am going to buy this machine ,my first question is dose this machine can repair broken prong ring (the wire is 1mm or 2mm),? do i need use gold soldering or silver soldering when i weld something whit this machine too ?and ,dose this machine weld by tungsten needle is that right?where can i buy extra (spare )tungsten needle if i need?Thanks

Hi Matt! Thanks for your inquiry. Yes, the pulse arc welders are excellent in all types of repairs. When a repair requires more metal, simply use wire of the same type of metal. The electrodes used in these welders are made of tungsten and are available for purchase on our websites. You will receive electrodes with your welder purchase.
