As a brown jew I'm so insulted when pro Palestinians call Israelis and jews as a whole "white colonizers" First off, majority of Israel, like me, are middle eastern jews who run away from Muslim countries due to persecution. WE DON'T EVEN LOOK WHITE. Second, I am a Babylonian jew, one of the most ancient diaspora of jews, my family tree is so vast and long and it comes into Israel. My family was literally living in Israel specifically and the middle east as a whole- way way- before Arabs who call themselves now Palestinians, came from the ottoman empire even went to conquer and settled in the levant and middle east and Israel in it. To call jews, a diverse group of people who are a minority in the world as a whole "white" or "colonizers" is dehumanizing, infuriating, and wrong. Edit: the dehumanising part is the “colonaizer” there is nothing dehumanising or bad in being white, I just wanted to make it clear.

It's so misleading to refer to oneself as a Palestinian. There isn't a race of people ever that has been called the Palestinians. The proper terminology is Arab refugee in Palestine. Minus a Roman occupation they would be considered Arab refugees in Israel. Referring to oneself as Palestinian is like a Japanese refugee in Hawaii referring to themselves as Hawaiian.

Jewish students at Columbia U. and probably also at UCLA, have already, and probably will, file Class Action Lawsuits, as both groups have antisemitic incidents on film, I've seen several. Breach of contract? When the University cashes a tuition check that is a contract. The students go to class and follow the rules, the University protects the students and providing the education. The University isn't upholding their end of the deal. Columbia U. got a D grade from the Campus Antisemitism Report Card, they were in litigation and under investigation over this before the current problems, and the president who said she'd fix the problem is nowhere to be seen. If the campus is private property call in the police to clear out the protestors. Anyone arrested who is here as a guest in this country, on a Visa. revoke the Visa, and deport them. Any student breaking the law, behaving violently, expel, not suspend, them. Don't allow masks on campus, and all camera footage taken on campus should be made public record so businesses know who not to hire. Donors should stop giving money(don't worry, the University can get more from Qatar). And Jewish parents stop sending your kids to Ivy League schools that get lower than a C on the antisemitic report card. There are fixes, you just have to implement them.

It is sad that the faculty who are supposed to be helping to educate them are deepening their ignorance and prejudice. On a simple level, we are all taught to be considerate to others and the College environment is one of the early places to learn this. The facilities at Columbia belong to ALL students ( including the Jewish students who paid for them also) and faculty. It is therefore extremely disheartening to see these pro-hamas students elbowing Jewish students out and making them uncomfortable and unsafe on their own campus. The spineless heads of these colleges must now declare that the campuses are private premises and those wanting to protest must do so outside the campuses. Let the police deal with them.
