The horrors endured by survivors, we cannot even comprehend today. They used every ounce of will, strength, intelligence, ingenuity, friendship & love of family, to pull through. It surpasses human understanding. The greatest generation is almost gone. We must pass their histories & testimonies on. Blessed to hear their stories.

Almost all the survivors are gone now. I just want to say thank you to all of those brave enough to share their stories of survival.

Thank you for taking the time to explain about your horrendous time that you survived through. No one can ever know the true horrors that you endured, only those who were there and survived can truly understand what you went through. "Sentenced to go on living ", such a powerful statement, very very upsetting, that hits home. Thank you once again.

What a fantastic, wonderful woman. "They didn't speak up for us." So true. My view of Roosevelt and other governments has been quite shaken by these testimonies.

I have listened to many of the survivor interviews and your interview touched me deeply. I believe I felt what is possible to feel not having ever experienced the misery you did. You should know your expressing of the feelings you endured, the torture and total loss of family and all that mattered was made as imaginable as possible through your story. Those that cannot feel the devastation after listening to your testimony are simply inhuman. God bless you for all your suffering and you are more clean than ever- your sharing was absolutely riveting. Not the gory details and visual of suffering but Your cries and reaching for understanding what this insanity impacted in the life of one x millions..... I will listen to this again and again and It will remind me how blessed I am to have heard it from you.

My aunt spent her life looking for her husband. She asked other people all the time to help her until she died.

Such an articulate, intelligent woman. Yes, she would have made an excellent doctor. Such a wonderful daughter to take care of her mother....... they changed places and she was the caretaker and her mother the one to be cared for. She speaks her mind and her words are so compelling.

A truly remarkable lady. She had me in tears. Obviously she will never get over what happened to her, how could you? She is in pain, but still has managed to live a life and have a beautiful family. I hope there is a terrible place in hell for the Nazis.

I hope you live to see many many great grandchildren. You are obviously such a wonderful mother. How lucky your children are. How wonderful that after all the horror you endured you are able to love other people so much. I hope you find peace and somehow the nightmares will stop.

For all of my life I have paid deepest attention to this massive destruction of such dear and touchingly beautiful people like our lady who speaks here with such eloquence. Sought the words of those who somehow outlasted the German genocide(s). To see and to hear. I hope everyone gets the chance to hear and to see Gerda Kahan. Not finding words adequate to thank her, so I hope that somehow she can feel the praising, the love and respect which she has engendered, inspired.

Thank God she now has a wonderful family to call her own. People who abuse and neglect their children today - because of 'life's everyday stresses/alcoholism, drugs etc etc' should listen to this woman's story and learn to appreciate 'who' they have today, not 'what' they have today.
