Years ago, I lived in Woodland Hills and worked for Dr Oster. He was such a lovely, soft spoken, generous, brilliant man. I left LA quite some time ago, and had wondered about him often, looked him up a few times throughout the years, had sweet memories of him, and was saddened to read of his death this past April. I knew, even back in LA, that he was a German Jew survivor, but he didn’t talk about it much, other than his coming to LA about a year after liberation. His patients and employees adored him and he was so, so nice to everyone, especially the very elderly. He was so handsome, too!

It's a shame many of us only see this long after they have passed. This is one of the best docs that I've seen. I will say it seems that many of the interviewers are a little amateur but then this isn't exactly 20/20 on ID or 60 min. I just feel that these survivors deserve the best professional experience when sharing their stories. Peace be with them always at least until the next journey.

A most lucid, detailed, and remarkably orderly account of Nazi atrocities, told with determination and courage. Thank you, Dr. Oster, perhaps posthumously, for you willingness to have recounted to us your experiences. Your warning at the end is well taken. For whatever reason, whatever reason, people should not treat each other so terribly as you have described and, for all its horrors, so generously shared with us.

Thank you for publishing...a remarkable and chilling testimony, a survivor's story told with a great deal of restraint and dignity. Henry's last words in the video are chilling to hear knowing how close we may be coming to replaying the horrors of selective persecution on the base of race, religion, or political views.

The world is better off from having this first-person testimony of your life during and after the The Holocaust...You share in such a sensitive, eloquent, serious yet often humor-sprinkled way...and I learned so much about how the human spirit can overcome...Thank you, thank you! I know you have passed on and may be watching me type this from your well-deserved "bunk" in Heaven. I only wish I could tell you that humans have learned...but, as you say in the epilogue, if there is something to be gained by exerting inhuman treatment, it WILL happen...and it still does. I want to let you and your family or others who read this to know that I BELIEVE as individuals we do have power to overcome man's inhumanity towards others...and that is by do WHAT WE CAN...speak up/stand up against wrong-doing of ANY sort. And love/treat others as you would want to be treated. BTW, I hope you have met my father, J. Robert Bicego, who is your kindred spirit.

Yes this is the stark truth, it has been repeated and will be again. But Goodness exists and we have to hold onto that and work towards this spiritual goal.

I've watched numerous testimonial videos and the honor of seeing some survivors speak. It saddens me how many have passed in these years from footage to 2019, but also makes me thankful to hear their individual stories, not just the statistical numbers. His words to the world are both heartbreaking and true. The genocides continue with undeclared wars and people simply carry on. His words on the US having free speech and freedom of thought.....Ah, I long for those days. And his words are chilling on a small portion taking over due to the lack of actions of others. It reminds me a lot of what's ongoing currently if people would but open their eyes to see. Or maybe it's like many survivor testimonials even now, people see, but can't believe, or see but have no idea what to do. Amazing testimonial, I wish I'd had the honor of meeting this wise soul.

Projectile shown at 2:01:49. serious credibility issue. THere are no rifling marks on the projectile but it supposedly was fired and dug out of a wall. Secondly there is no deformation - it should be squashed on the point. This projectile supposedly was fired into a wooden beam at fairly short range. Some German projectiles were made with steel cores to save Pb, a core war material. Possibly this item this was fired at H Oster but I smell a bit of rat somewhere.

Why would he lie Tim? Try going thru what these people went thru and remember everything you went thru like this is a movie script. Shame on you.
